Excellent. I often fear being misunderstood. As a Liberal, it always seems to me that the liberal application of US Dollars will solve any problem. Hence, a user fee seems a reasonable thing if, for no other reason, I'm not worried that Brent is posting something outrageous while I'm stuck offline.

It's not you. What it is is time for the Mod's here to demand a fix by the powers that be. If we users need to pay then say so. If advertising rates must go up so be it. But having a high school shop class caliber website in the year 2021 is just absurd.

Maybe if we all paid a little more money, and I'm O.K. with double or even triple, to the cousin or nephew who is in charge of this website we could maybe rise above being the only website any of us use that cannot seem to stay online. Just a thought.

Yes, I will let you jump. I have no choice. It's either let you jump or risk upsetting my delicate balance of 50% stomach and 50% ulcer as I listen to whatever horse shit story you planned to tell and don't realize I've heard a thousand times. Yes, I am saying right wing things. In truth, I'm a pretty shitty liberal. In this case, however, I depart when it comes to imposing unnecessary and intentional limits on certain communities.

I'm not opposed to needing an ID for voting, either. With mail in voting the voter has bags of time to get properly registered and identified. It's when voting is only between a few hours and, after standing in line for hours, you find you left it at home so are unable to vote that is an offense against democracy. Give everyone lot's of time and a system that isn't designed to exclude certain folks and no one should have a bitch. Well, except our right wing friends, as ever.

I guess my point is that I can see no path to your solution in the USA. We can't even get consensus on basic science issues much less a National ID card. You can talk all day about enforcement of this or that but until you say we'll round them up, hand cuff them and very roughly toss them over the border into another country or jail you're not explaining how the enforcement will go. Until you say we'll toss any employers who don't go along with your honor system in the calaboose, too, and fine them huge money it's just fiction.

He's used to not being wrong. He's used to controlling his environment. Happy Valley was probably just that for Brent. One thing about DZ's is that the cast of characters who are a daily part of the show are self vetted. People who think I'm an irredeemable asshole go somewhere else. Those who like my kind of asshole stay. So it is a self validating thing that can give you a very wrong impression of yourself if you aren't aware and cautious.

Why is this a measurement for you? Can you not see that it speaks to the insanity and the inanity of the American gun culture you subscribe to? All it describes are dumb shits wasting their families money on useless guns and ammunition they will never use for defense. You know full well that most of those gun buyers don't have unlimited money and so something good they could have done will go undone. It's just plain stupid and you must know it.
