It's what it has to do with everything. Those are comorbidities, right? Many would claim they are self inflicted but the issue is that with single payer health insurance, something you now support, we all accept each others circumstance for the greater good. In some ways that's the socialist proposition, right? We need be cautious against taking it too far, absolutely, but there will be things on the margin that we just accept. For most liberals that would include our taxes paying your medical bills.

Gotta go. My nieces Lacrosse finals are tonight.
-
You still don't get it. Success is buying a box with potential and finding a LiFePO4 battery inside.
-
That is exactly the issue some of us have with your, and one or two others here, world view. You see the world after the fact. That's likely why you are comfy with rentals: I buy X, I rent X plus, I make money. I prefer to make judgements on potential. Not just people but with everything.

That's for something. Would you mind letting your wife and daughter chime in here on your posit?

Come on, Bill, come back with a refutation. You made a medical argument without an attribution. You got push back and then complained that it was really about decorum. No personal attacks have been made. Instead you've been invited to support your position with facts. Saying you heard it on a radio talk show and yada, yada, yada isn't an answer or an explanation. Support your point.

If it was proven to work I'd take Bag Balm and I'd lick it from the bag PRN. However, for the moment I'm sticking with vaccine and white and red burgundy. So far, so good.

And do better than Ivermectin, too!

You can buy the things at any veterinary supply for cheap. Enjoy.

Bingo. I hate the damn things, I've never liked shots but I do it to decrease my risk of infection and to stay out of the ICU not just for me but others, too. The problem is that some others are just plain pig headed and while I may be freeing up space for their loved ones they aren't reciprocating. That's what is the most wrong.

Many people are after a major health problem. Didn't you state here that at the time of your heart attack you were very overweight and a smoker?
-
What a dope I am. You write in Vietnamese. You like Beer Phó American style. Now you're starting to make sense.

Good googaloo, that's rich. You post this: :" No doubt it has some impact but the decrease in social gathering, and education on handwashing and sanitation are probably a major factors." After posting this: "I luv these articles that say "can" and "could." No doubt that masks help, just much less than most think. Plenty of cans and coulds in this world. Just like the word maybe, about as valuable as the phrase "maybe not." Try reading this: https://www.cdc.gov/flu/weekly/index.htm which includes this: "The percentage of outpatient visits due to respiratory illness decreased nationally again this week and is below baseline. Influenza is contributing to levels of respiratory illness, but other respiratory viruses are also circulating. The relative contribution of influenza varies by location."

Of course, it's on him but good luck while you wait. Isn't it odd how so many fewer colds etc.. were passed around whilst we indoctrinated were wasting our time masking, standing apart, and scaring granny?

Nor do I but what chaps my ass most is it didn't need to be such an imposition on everyone. We should have ignored the squeals of the anti-vaxer, anti-masker, anti-social distance crowd long ago and required vaccination passports for entry to all public venues. We should have rewarded all who were doing what's was considered best and let the rest of them shop for groceries during special maskhole and anti-vaxer hours and stay out of the airports and off the trains and buses. That and let them go to tent city hospitals with Alan Alda in charge.

Cocky? It's the opposite, Ken. I have had my share of quick changes. I get it and I'm fighting it.

I do. I also think it's a misfortune of our times that he would so suffer. Maybe 2000 years ago in Caligula's Rome you would have had an easier talk. Maybe in a very unlikely to be more progressive culture in the US your task would be less complicated. Even today, if his mental health was sufficiently important to you, there are cultures you could move to that are vastly more progressive and understanding than in a lot of America. The thing is that it wouldn't, necessarily, be about today or where you are.

It's not about winning or losing or money. It's about keeping active physically and mentally. It's about staying alive. I'm not quitting anything, be it the DZ, my airplane gigs, doing deals, etc. No way.

That's so awesomely fair of you. Certainly, you'd start off by explaining your view of the "real world" and how you came to that particular version and then follow up by describing how others might have different versions of the "real world" and then discuss in detail how faith, friends and locality are determinative, not to mention FOX News. But that's not too much and can all be handled in the car on the way to Macy's.

In all fairness, until Winsor's resurrection, Bill "I'll be Back" was the forum leader in unanswered questions. Unless they both have me blocked in which case, my sincere apologies to all.

This truth is indisputable: if you don't keep moving the birds will get you. So, "roll 'em, roll "em, roll 'em, keep them doggies rollin' "

What a crock of shit. You're all like you predicted every twist and turn, published a number of mask and distancing studies, and made the several vaccines that saved us. You are the beneficiary of all of the science minded folks and cautious planners that made the hospital space you apparently didn't need available. And now your prescience guides you to announce it's time for mandates to end and for all to live their lives however they like. Well thanks for getting us here, Nostradamus.

Then get a gig that offers a lot more flexibility and less forced locality. You made all of your own choices, as did I. We've spoken but you really do not know me. Those who do know I am always hustling; I always have and I always will. If you want your skewed POV to go away then make it happen. It's all on you.

Thoughts on lithium iron phosphate batteries
JoeWeber replied to brenthutch's topic in Speakers Corner
Irritating, annoying and repetitive in the face of better evidence does not a troll make. One night I woke up at 3:00AM in a two dollar dive hole of a room with a dip toilet on the second floor of the train station in Jaipur, India. On the platform below an army brass band was beating out what I can only guess was supposed onto be a coherent song. For the most part it made no sense and just made my head hurt. That didn't make them trolls, just true believers like Brent. Be nice. Unlike some, when Brent is gone we'll miss him. -
Nope but I'm up to my 4th free vaccination. Still no tail or free 5G through my ears.
