Heya, Dave...I'd love to have one too, but for right now, my Sony HC40 works just fine. I jump occasionally at Dallas, but mostly at Hinton. I'm planning on checking out Airtight and Dale's place once I get back from the AOT boogie. I'm sure I'll see ya' around. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Raeford rocks. Period. Try the monkey fries at the onsite bar & grill. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

I wish I could do that Mar, but my eyes are incredibly light sensitive. Tinted goggles and sunglasses aren't an option for me, they're a requirement, even on a lot of cloudy days. I'm just a squinty, watery-eyed messican without them. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

You missed what Kalled was saying, Jeffrey. Store up a bunch of diesel and a bunch of ammonia nitrate then wait. One is stable, the other isn't and can, in certain instances, react all on its own. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

I've had zero problems with my Stiletto, but I would prefer something that doesn't hunt as much on opening. It's not a bother, it's just "busy", if that makes any sense. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

That's what I keep hearing. I really had my heart set on a Crossfire2, but after all I've heard, I just don't want to take the chance on their customer service. Hopefully this canopy will be the all-around performer I'm looking for when it comes to openings, being swoopable, and well-behaved with my wingsuit. Well, you convinced me, Bill. I called Beezy today and picked his brain. I've got a Nitro demo on its way to me. I'll post a writeup once I get some jumps on it.

Dune has always been one of my favorite series and the original movie is still in my top 5.

SSM is a great lil' DZ. I really need to get back down there sometime.

Dealing with line twists on elliptical canopies
Kris replied to Mad47's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Exactly what Dave said. I rarely have twists on my Stiletto, but it tried to take me for a ride a few weeks back. I immediately evened out the risers and it levelled out, allowing me to get out of the line twists easily. Hooknswoop gave me that knowledge last year and it definitely came in handy. On opening, I have my hands on the risers but I don't touch them until it's open. I keep my eyes on the horizon and use just a smidge of hip input once it's snivelling. -
Look at the URL for your post history. It's just a type of search as well, so the same percentile metric is applied to it.

"Limited" personal experience is one thing, but this isn't a cheap altimeter we're talking about. I follow Ron's line of thought on this one. And I say limited because, let's face it, you haven't been in the sport very long. No offense. Personally, I don't like the way Vigil has handled some of their past issues. Too little, too late. Luckily, I have a Cypress mark-1 that's still good for 8 more years. Plenty of time to see how things pan out in the AAD market. I'll keep with the 2-year rule for major components (AAD's, containers, reserves). If I want something bad enough, it's worth waiting for to see how well it actually works in the field. *snicker* Yeah, I saw that on their calendar a couple of years back and laughed for quite awhile over that one. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™ -

Quincy didn't become a dead zone, Viking, it's always been a dead zone. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
