  4. I too have the Firebolt from Jumpshack. I started jumping it around jump 30 and now have about a 100 jumps on it. I love it. I have a 218 and load it around 1.1:1 now. I've gained a few pounds. If you'd like to try one out, call and have them send you a demo. I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid!

My guess would be Aug. 4-13. I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid!
  6. You mean to sent it certified with return reciept. I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid!
  7. Here's what my brother did one time at home. He had a telemarketer call him one day and he just happened to have his 3-4 yr old daughter there nearby. he told them to hold on for a sec. and handed the phone to her. The person on the other end didn't have the heart to hang up on her. He let her talk for 5-10 mins, then took the phone back and asked them if they had enough and then hung up the phone. Worked quite well for him. I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid!
  8. The B-17 also wasn't there this year. it was late but the DC-3 made it. Kirlin got the news helicopter to fly jumpers on weds. I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid!
  9. Congratulations Kris. That is definitely a good reason to miss Rantoul. We were wondering where you were. I should be joining you in the ranks of being unavailable in about 6 more weeks. Congrats again.
  10. I'll never forget the tornado that ripped through Oklahoma on May 3, 1999. That sucker was huge and did tremendous damage. It carried debris for miles before dropping it. I must say that is the first time i wanted to be under ground. I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid!
  11. '85 Buick Somerset had 220,000 on the original clutch. Had to re-ring the engine at 150,000 though. Finally had to get rid of it because the transmission went bad. I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid!
  12. My brother had a telemarketer call his house once and he gave the phone to his 3 yr old daughter. You could tell the person was new and didn't have the heart to hang up on her. After about 5 mins he took the phone back and asked if they had enough and hung up the phone. I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid!
  13. I definitely don't think it'll be big enough.
  14. I'm going to go with Craddock on this. Bearded Dragons are pretty low maintenance. My brother has one and so does a neighbor of his. His neighbor's is even leash trained. I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid!
  15. Watch out Kris, I believe me and my brother will be there too. I've been wanting to jump there again. I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid!
  16. Any shipping company you use has the same odds of damaging your rig. FYI, Priority and Express Mail fly on the same planes as FED-EX. I use the postal service for almost everything I ship or have shipped. UPS can't ever seem to find my house, and FED-EX has a ring-and-run problem here. Another plus about the post office, they'll give you all the stuff to ship your rig. I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid!
  17. I say dog also. If you do get one, look into the breed you're interested in. Most people don't and they end up with more than they bargained for. Chiuaua's for instance are ONE person dogs, and generally are very protective. I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid!
  18. Yes, Rich is the jumper that died on Saturday at Skydive Dallas. May everyones prayers go out to his family, for they have suffered too many losses this past year. I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid!
  19. I wouldn't spend the extra money on first class. Both first and second class mail have to be worked first (after priotity mail). The only difference in when you get one compared to the other, would be how fast the distributor gets it to the post office. I can say this because I am a mail carrier in OKC. I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid!
  20. Both have their advantages and disadvantages, which some have been listed. One thing i have noticed about buying a new computer is to watch out for preloaded software, computers bought at Wal-Mart for instance. The reason being is that most of the time the computer runs Windows instead of Windows running the computer. I found this out the hard way and had to reinstall windows in order to change some memory settings. I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid!
  21. My brother and I both made a couple of jumps there this past summer. We went to Pacific Skydiving Center, which is at the same place as Skydive Hawaii. Like other have said, it's best to get there first thing in the morning. Pacific shuts down opertions when there are no more tandems for the day, so you might only get in a couple of jumps. Plus the trade winds change directions in the winter and you have more of a chance of a water landing, in the case of a bad spot. You do have a couple of options for off landings, though. My brother ended up landing on the beach on our final jump there, and a couple of the tandems landed at the Polo Field to the E (I think that's the direction). If you do get to jump, enjoy the scenery, it's amazing. I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid!
  22. It depends on what exactly you're broken nose has affected. I've jumped with mine broken a few times. The first time I did, I had no pain. The second time, on the other hand, my entire head hurt. If you're going to try, I also suggest a hop-n-pop. I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid!
  23. This happened to a friend of mine trying to sell a bedroom suit. He was notified it might be a scam by Western Union after he tried to send to money back to the person. Western Union has a list of countries that they will not send money to now, because of these scams. I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid!
  24. I'm going to have to agree with benny on this. I started skydiving almost a year ago, while taking anti-depressants. I have since quit taking them and I have never been happier. Anti-depressants are not just prescribed by a psychiatrist but also by personal physicians and for numerous reasons. I have taken a couple of different kinds over the last few years and do know that different kinds and dosages affect different people differently. On one kind I seemed like a vegetable, I didn't have a care in the world, but the last kind I was on I was perfectly fine. I do understand your concern and if I were you I would sit down and see if your student would talk to you about it. Just be sure to let them know of your concern. I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid!
