Hey.....I've got a big ol' rotten 'mater in the fridge..... I have had a GREAT day, myself.....just got out of an hour-and-a-half sauna with three nekkid dips in the pool to cool off. We have bats here, and it's really fun to watch them dive bomb the pool while you're floating under the stars.... Nonetheless, I'm still pretty envious of all that great skydiving happening out there.....

I'm entertaining my child at my dad's pool today.....and I think I'll probably be back digging in the flower beds tomorrow..... but it's all fun.... Life is pretty good. I guess since the RW is so bad here (um, and I mean that in a good way), I never feel like I'm missing all that much if I choose to do something else. I'm really looking forward to my next little jumping excursion though.....not really sure yet where it'll be. Maybe Spaceland.....or maybe that little East Texas dz.....or maybe SEMO. I don't know. Then Skyfest'll be here soon, and get to cruise over to Dallas. Leaving the kid at home for that one (heh, heh, heh.....) Have a relatively non-threatening, stress-free day! Oh, MAAAAAAN! Sounds like a blast! I think I'm gonna head over to Hazen to jump outta the 182 on Sunday, but mostly it's gonna be a catch up on yard work weekend.... I've been pullin' up weeds like crazy and getting dirt all up under my nails and stuff today....it's a great change of pace, though. Have fun, Clay!!!! Hee hee....and I was kind of thinking that about your canopy.... As far as the car goes, I'd also get someone else to look at it. Several years ago when my car overheated near Seligman, AZ (another story), I was told that my head gasket was warped or something.....it was gonna cost a couple thousand to fix.....I took my car, and another garage in town hid it for me (from the first garage that was trying to charge me $50 to look at the car). Turned out the only problem was my thermostat.....of course I'm a girl travelling across country, and probably an easy target, but nonetheless.... It was pretty funny, though. Those guys were driving around looking for us. We hid for 3 days. One of the guys at the 2nd garage had half of his face blown off from a shotgun accident.....crazy.... you can live in happiness too, like the oompa loompa dooba de do....

Hey, Skip.....I didn't hang out in the bar this time, but I certainly have experience with the FloraBama.....we have a kind of history. I have to say that I was just a bit let down when I saw it, though....when I use to hang out there, it was a tiny little bar that wasn't real busy.....about 1/4 the size it is now, and it always had bad bands....but it had the best shrimp I ever ate, and LOTS of tequila..... Anyway..... kids and bars aren't a very great match, and I had mine with me. Would've loved to hang out around a fire at the dz, but apparently that ain't kosher at Emerald Coast. Just to add my $.03.....I fly my FX (loaded about 1.7 or maybe 1.6 since I've lost a few pounds) very conservatively, and it is a SUPER fun canopy even for someone who is not flying balls to the wall..... you can live in happiness too, like the oompa loompa dooba de do....

Just got in from my back-to-back trips to Flora Bama and Colorado (didn't get to jump there.....fire in Canon City), to find my grades for this semester and a check from the IRS!!!! YIPPEE!!!!! Moved up 11 places in my medical school class this semester thanks to all that hard work in biochem, and I'll be depositing a HUGE check (considering that I'm usually paying out the boo-hiney) into my empty bank account today!!!!! It is so refreshing to hear a good recovery story, with all the recent rotten luck.....I haven't read all the replies to this, so sorry if I'm repeating everyone else's thoughts. ....as well as the guy in the wing suit in Elberta this weekend. Any of y'all that were there see that video?! I was on that load.... Anyway, so we're on the Caravan. Fella in a wing suit jumps with wings open.....gets a little lift and missed the tail by inches! GAWD!!!! I understand he went a few shades of pale as he saw the video....
