Roller coasters really don't do it for me anymore. The only thing that I worry about is whether or not the people in front of me will throw up. That isn't the kind of excitement I want. The other turn-off is the whole theme-park experience. It is always waiting in lines, overpriced crappy food, waiting in lines, overpriced tickets, waiting in line, boring rides, and did I mention waiting in lines? A lot of the rides are shorter than a typical freefall, but you have to spend 45 minutes in line behind some bratty kid who is whining to their mother. I'd rather spend time at a dropzone than an amusement park, any day. When friends talk about getting a group to go to the amusement park, I usually decline, and save my money for jumping. Justin

I hear ya, Zennie! The other issue is saving money for another rig. Justin
-
That seems odd. From all appearances, she wouldn't be interested in guys. Of course, I have nothing to substantiate this, but my wife (who watches the show) is sure of it. Justin

Ask Clay.

It doesn't amaze me. What amazes me is that suckers will fall for it. Justin

You mean sheep. I hate when inaccuracies go uncorrected. Justin

Yeah, I'm with Skystorm and AggieDave on this one too. Just imagine when the beer light goes on. Someone throws (literally) a piece of greasy (FREE!) pizza to one of them. Oh, the horror. Justin PS Speaking of free pizza, let me pimp the FreezeFest again.
-
You didn't think I was going to let this drop, did you? You should all know I am way too stubborn for that. We have less than two weeks until the FreezeFest. Time for some more planning. So far, the participants include: Me Jimbo Stacy Kelly Majdi Johnny PTiger Marshall Fruce Stacy, you used to work at Manifest, so you're in charge of making DZ.com record attempt announcements.

That isn't precisely Hollywood. You just need to go to the other video stores.
-
3fLieEr, Yes, you're right. Those movies don't glamourize the behaviors. And they were made in the same place as the moronic movies for the masses. Hollywood isn't all bad, just mostly bad.

Nick, You're right. One of the key participants was Alan Turing. After all his work, the British government ostracized him for being gay. Talk about gratitude for brilliant work in mathematics.... Justin
-
Good point. You can also see plenty of movies outlining the imperial inhumanities of the British and the occasional film about white South African subjugation of the locals. What do I know. We were just a colony.

If you calling me a women is my pass to the women's showers at the gym, then count me in. Justin

I have a naturally efficient arch and aerodynamic stomach, thank you very much!

I was just joking, Viking.

I guess I'm totally "uncool", because I sometimes leave my helmet on the whole ride to altitude. And it is a fashion-statement Pro-Tec to boot. Actually, I often find a comfortable position propping my head (in my helmet) on the top of my rig if I can lean back, or leaning propped against my arm, which is braced on the side of the plane. I half-snooze or relax from about 1000 ft. until about 10-11,000. Then it is time for another hackey and handle check before I pull my goggles down. Even if I don't ride all the way with my helmet, it is on at least until the belts-off at 1,000 ft. Justin

True Airspeed and Skydiver's Airspeed. There is some adjustment for air density or somesuch in the skydiver's airspeed. It supposedly makes it more accurate. True airspeed usually reads higher. Without the manual in front of me, it is too technical to give any more information. Maybe one of the brainy pilot types could explain more....

Bored, Slappie? Doc Martens are pretty damned comfortable too. So are combat boots.... after two years of breaking them in. Justin

I agree with what has already been said about audibles being third in importance behind visual altimeters and your eys. That said, they are neat gadgets. If you go to the following page, you can click on the "Graph" buttons to see some of the info a Pro-Track w/software gives you. http://www.jennandjustin.com/skydive-jumplog-last10.asp I've also attached an image of the data on my last jump. Other than Skreamer, who would pay? Justin
-
We don't want to know any more Skreamer. We don't want to know what kind of bar, or what kind of people would tip you. Eww!
-
Clay, I told you that you had a fixation problem with my mother. Thankfully, I'm exempt from the MILF conversation, because it is my mother and I don't live in Georgia, Tennessee or West Virginia. Justin
-
You forgot... Skreamer porn. It is the most horrific and disgusting of them all. Mix it with one of the others, and we'd all have to commit suicide just for thinking about it.
-
Clay, Do you have a fixation with my mother? Do you have a fixation with YOUR mother? Was Freud right? Maybe you should seek help. Justin
