When I first started, I wanted all of my friends to go so badly that I offered to pay for most of their tickets! I'm almost glad that no one took me up on it, I now how the true skydiver mentality: More jumps for me!!! ~~~~ Rachel ~~~~~~~~~~~ -Converting the world one whuffo at a time.

Most of these stories seem to be making women out to be the bad ones! ;) No, I've got one for you guys... You see, I seem to have a knack for getting cheated on. I think this is where my fear of commitment stems from. A large group of my friends were having a gathering but I was not going to be able to attend due to a family function. I was really bummed about it because I was missing a great party with my friends but also because it would have given me a rare opportunity to see my boyfriend, who lived a good distance from me. Well, the family function ended very late and I had a little to drink, but for some reason I really wanted to see my boyfriend. I sped like crazy in rainy weather for about an hour to get to the party only to discover my boyfriend was not there. I discovered in the morning that he had gone home with a girl that he swore to me just the night before that he was just friends with and would never ever even consider cheating on me. Sunny, always trying to get a free meal? ;) I am terribly jealous. Just walking out to my car this morning before work made me long for warmer weather. Yeah... I would probably be the one who was escorted out... Can't remember for sure though. I just remember making the woman in the hotel lobby really mad when I kept asking where everyone was. Great times, I wish I would have made it out to the movie today, though. I wanted to go to Cosi so bad but when I hopped in the shower this morning, the warm water just put me right out. Clint has got a good point. We ladies don't want to see our skydivers dying young on us now. That might be a good reward for any of you unattached men. Thanks for the link, I love Steve and his crazy stories, I was scared that he did something really crazy this time that would get him in trouble. I've been watching him since he first came around, and this really doesn't surprise me. Sure the guy's got a screw loose, but don't we all. So... the monkey finally decides to come out to play. I guess that puts an end to the mystery behind the monkey. What a pity, the guessing game was getting fun ;) You know, I myself am not overly found of gloves. I bought a pair of thinsulate which I use mostly while skiing, but they are not bad for jumping, either. They are very warm and not too think to feel the handles. I have so many, it's hard to think of them all right now... I just wanted to write to say how wonderful it was to get to jump here in Ohio in the middle of winter. The weather yesterday was amazing! No clouds and in the 50s, who can complain? We had a pretty nice sized gathering up here in Xenia, OH. It was just the thing I needed to get me out of the rut I was in due to the weather and holiday stress. It was great to see all of my friends again and even get to meet new ones.(Nati, if you're out there, again I am sorry about that little mishap ::sheepish grin::) I also got a chance to meet another DZ.commer. Sean,(sdgregory) I had a great time getting to know you and your friend, John. I do hope you guys come out here more often now. It may have been a little muddy (got covered on jump three when landed in a just tilled cornfield... I would never have guessed it could be so mire-like) but couldn't argue with the weather, I didn't even have to wear gloves! Now, as for my Greene County friends who made the trip all the way to Eloy... ::evil grin:: I can only hope you guys are having a great time out there despite the cold. Blue skies, everyone! I hear you on that one, Kai. Not even a month ago I had my first bounce dream. It was strange, I pulled and nothing came out, went for the reserve, same thing. I bounced and laid there for a second, like I did when I had my real accident. Then I got myself up and kind of grinned at everyone. Then the really scary thing happened... Jim came storming out and said I was reckless and careless and he never wanted to see me near his dropzone again.
