Way too funny. Thanks! Blue skies and happy landings!

When helmets were introduced to soldiers in WWI, there were a dramatic rise in head injuries. Before that, folks just died. Bizarre the way it works... Blue skies and happy landings!

Don't discount hanging around the drop zone and talking to people. Remember that different people look at containers different ways. Riggers can tell you details that packers and jumpers may not know about. Experienced jumpers who've jumped a slew of different rigs can compare this with that from their perspectives. Folks who are into freeflying will have different requirements for their gear than folks who do relative work. If nothing else, you'll get quite an education in why some folks like this feature or that and may find some things you like that you hadn't thought about before. Blue skies and happy landings! Bingo! Thanks for the help. I was going nuts trying to find it. I must say, that's a pretty cool combination look. Anybody else out there have suits they're especially proud of? I'd love to see 'em! Thanks again - Joe. Blue skies and happy landings!

Okay, I give up. A month or two ago somebody posted a proud picture of themselves wearing their new suit with their new rig and it was nothing but hot! The picture showed the guy from the back and his suit and container were both white with black stripes/paint spatter. It looked great and I'd like to steal the idea. Plagarism is the sincerest form of flattery, right? Alas, however, I can't find the pic anywhere! If this sounds like you, will you please either post or mail me a picture? I'm leaning toward yellow with the black stripes/spatter but it would be easier to show the manufacturer a picture than try to let him read my mind. Too much empty space up there, y'know. Sorry about the mindless quest. I do want a suit that cool, though! Thanks for the help. Blue skies and happy landings! Blue skies and happy landings!

All I can say is that Dan is one hard core dude! Blue skies and happy landings!

Sorry to sound like a whuffo but what are the drawbacks to using an RW suit for freeflying? I recently obtained my A license and am concentrating on refining my belly-down technique so an RW suit makes sense for two-ways and the like. I'd like to move into some sit flying soon, though, and don't want to limit myself. I saw an RW suit in the DZ.com classifieds that I'd like to get if it won't hinder my progression. Thanks for the info! Blue skies and happy landings!

That's one of the key questions I had, Brian. The pressure changes a lot between here and there, especially during high altitude drops during boogies and other special events. That's the background behind my question of whether to use the more porous or dense earplugs. Judging by the posts, though, it doesn't really seem to be an issue. We typically jump Cessnas at my DZ so noise is certainly an issue. Cheers! Blue skies and happy landings!

who has actually made serious $$$ from skydiving?

D-41? Hey Chuteless - If I have to wait that long to become profitable there's no chance I'm giving up my day job. Sheesh! Blue skies and happy landings! -
I just got my A license and am still learning all I can. Several guys at our DZ wear earplugs and I was hoping I could get some input from the community. I'm full of questions about whether you wear them, how they affect audible altimeters, whether you wear them for high altitude jumps, whether you use the porous cylindrical type or the tighter, more dense tapered type, ... There are more, these are just some of the things that have crossed my mind. Rather than ask you to respond to these, I'd appreciate it if you'd take a minute to post your opinion. Yeah, I know - opinions are like armpits; we all have 'em and nobody is very interested in yours. In this case, however, I am interested in your opinion. What do you think/do about earplugs? Thanks for the input. Blue skies and happy landings! Blue skies and happy landings!

Check out USPA's membership survey at http://www.uspa.org/about/sport.htm. It's interesting (in some simple aspect) that their results and these are different. Blue skies and happy landings! Blue skies and happy landings!

This is, most assuredly, a set of golf clubs. What a hoot! Blue skies and happy landings!
