Securing a new job needs to be your first priority. Figure out whether or not you want to move to a new city. If so, relocate, and then job hunt. After you find a job, then you can use the rest of the severance money to take a trip somewhere or buy jump tickets or whatnot.

"They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul; and everyone who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman." (2 Chronicles 15:12-13 NAB)

Instructors and Personal Assets, law suit question
Nightingale replied to LawnDart21's topic in Safety and Training
A corporation is treated as a separate entity under the law, and therefore separates the liability of the corporation from that of the owners. Edited to add: I would strongly advise AGAINST putting assets in one person's name only. First, if you split up, the other party's screwed. Second, if something happens to that person, you can end up with inheritence issues and assets can get tied up in court. -
LOL! The only time I ever use the "please advise" closing is when my boss has done something either moronic or contradictory, and I've got the job of dealing with the mess.

Perris..Is this a normal practice or one time thing?

Adding a tip box for Tim would be an awesome idea! He's so nice... always helps the students figure out how to pick up those huge canopies without getting them hopelessly tangled. He must've showed me five times before I finally mastered it! Tim's awesome! -
Grrrrr.... That guy was outa line!

We give time instead of distance because distance is quite deceiving. Its 300 Miles to Las Vegas from my former hometown of Riverside. its 68 miles to Los Angeles from Riverside. at 7 AM, the drive time is about equal. I remember driving to work, and pulling into the parking lot, looking at the clock and thinking "damn! I could've been in Vegas by now!"

AirFrance airline security - metal cutlery and glass bottles
Nightingale replied to mr2mk1g's topic in Speakers Corner
This happened to me last time I flew Southwest. Steak knives... sigh... I didn't order alcohol, so I'm not sure if it would've been in a glass bottle or not. -
why dont you post your jump numbers?

I agree with a lot of WHAT he says, just not HOW he says it. -
What I was taught at Perris is to try to land into the wind, first person landing sets the pattern, and if you don't like the landing direction, you can pick your own, but just do it way the heck away from everyone else. There's so much open space there that it isn't hard to get out of the way if you need to land elsewhere.

if he didn't want to run, he didn't want to run. The party can't force him to do so. The republicans have been trying to get Powell to run for years. He just doesn't want to do it. Maybe Gore just didn't want to do it this time. It put a lot of stress on his family and personal life last time around. Perhaps he just doesn't want to go through it again.

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!

I've never been, but I'd love to learn!

ROFL! Very true! I sure wish my workday was over! I got about three hours of sleep last night and am living on espresso and red bull right now. LOL.

I hope that's what he meant... Cease meaning "stop" and all.... I think Carpe Diem is what he's looking for.

I know of a few openings here in bright, sunny, non-humid southern california... no atlanta leads, though.

Looks like the next time I'll be able to jump will be the 23rd, if that. Had to put down the $500 deposit for law school to save my spot, so cash is really tight right now. Give MJ my regrets and tell him I look forward to the next time I can make it out there for his camp. For those of you in the Perris/Elsinore area that haven't been to one of MJ's camps... GO!

looks like a chunk of ice and a rock to me, but I guess we'll find out when these folks get back from their expedition.

even if they find a boat, it doesn't necessarily follow that it was Noah's.

I didn't say they wouldn't be time consuming. I didn't say you wouldn't have to THINK... Just that if you're well prepared, you should be able to handle the test without too much agony. I'm doing comprehensive exams for my master's degree right now... they're frustrating and agonizing, but if I didn't know the material, they'd be SOOOO much worse.
-
Tests should be easy if you're properly prepared and know the material. Tests should be very difficult if you don't study and don't understand what's being taught. Sounds like you did a good job!
