  1. I was drinking "Happy Bunny Spaz Juice" which is basically like raspberry flavored red bull, mixed with vanilla vodka. I didn't get drunk because I was nice and shared, so I didn't drink much of it myself. I was definitely buzzed, tho.
  2. Glad you like your bear, Sparky! I had fun making it for you
  3. the necklaces and bears are linked on my necklaces link in my sig line... I should probably put a link on the skydive part of my main page too... thanks for the reminder.
  4. depends on where it's going to. The post office will tell you when it will get there when you send it. Rural areas can take longer.
  5. there's a difference between being asked to dance for someone, and being asked to dance with someone. And for the record, what you said was "I'd like to see you dance sometime". and I said you could come watch dance class if you wanted.

  7. omg... you're so sweet. the necklaces and teddy bears are my only source of income while I'm in school, so I thank you for the publicity.
  8. the way I read it first, I thought the +2 was part of what you were supposed to divide by. I re-read it again, and discovered my error... misread the question.
  9. simplify inside parentheses, and do exponents... 7squared -{18-[40/(4x2) + 2] + 5squared} 49 -{18-[40/(8)+2)] +25} 49-{18-[5+2] + 25} 49-{18-7+25} 49-{11+25} 49-{36} 13
  10. OMG you guys... I just saw this thread. For the record, I do drink, I just don't get drunk. I don' t really like the "buzzed" feeling, so I usually don't drink any more after I feel buzzed. As for dancing on the tables naked... as far as I know, nobody's ever asked me to dance in my life, especially not naked!
  11. You'll do jail time because you DON'T have the right to respond physically. Your right to respond physically ends where his nose begins.
  12. a flag IS a piece of cloth... but it symbolizes so much more. It's not what the flag is that matters, it's what it symbolizes. People burn the flag when they feel that the government has trampled on what the flag stands for. They also do it to get attention. They do it because it gets an emotional reaction from almost everyone. Like I said earlier, there are better and more effective ways to protest, but this one is valid. I don't support their act, but I do support their right to do it.
  13. the movie should have been pre-approved by the parents. Anything over a G rated movie, parents have to sign waivers. Plus, it didn't belong in math class. Government or US history, to promote a discussion, maybe. not math.
  14. My dad just called... Sam passed away a few minutes ago. Just stopped breathing.
  15. No, you don't have to tip your trainer. The club pays them, you pay the club. Just tell your trainer what you can and can't afford to do. Their job is to work with you. I see my trainer about once every two weeks or so. She's great, and willing to work with my schedule, and will give me stuff to work on before our next session. If your trainer's really pressuring you to train more than you can afford, find a new trainer. =)
  16. Sam update: I went to my folks house today to check on him. He was moving in his bed, kicking his legs. I went up and pet his head, and he stopped kicking. I was able to get him to drink some water through a syringe...didn't really have to force him, just put the water in his mouth and he swallowed. It sounded like he was kinda trying to purr, but I'm not sure about that. I called the vet and he says to try him on some baby food tomorrow to make sure he's got his nutrition. He seems to be reacting a bit to my presence. I walked over to his bed after dinner, and he looked like he was sleeping. I pet his head, and he opened his eyes and kicked his feet. I refilled his water dish, just in case, and tucked him back into bed. This is a bit of an improvement over yesterday, I think. Yesterday, we got almost no movement at all, and today he's moving on his own. I hope it's not just some kind of brain stem reaction and he's actually improving. I wish I could take him back to the vet to be checked...there's just no information on the internet about brain damaged cats. you punch in "cat brain injury" and you get all kinds of info on CAT scans. A "feline brain injury" query didn't lead to much more info. sigh... if anyone's got any more vibes to spare, Sam and I would really appreciate it.
  17. thanks... if he recovers, and we can't find his family, he'll need a home, if my folks don't want to keep him.
  18. I am against flag burning... I think there are better ways to protest. I have a lot of respect for our flag, as it's the symbol of our country, and I come from a family with many veterans. If my grandfather ever caught me doing anything to disrespect the flag, he'd slap me silly. That said, while I oppose the act, I firmly believe that people have a legal right to do it, and that we shouldn't outlaw a valid method of protest. I don't like it, but I won't stop someone who wants to do it, just like I won't stop someone from saying something I disagree with.
  19. Today on our way to karate, Clownburner and I stopped by a friend's house to feed her dog (she's out of town). Lying by the driveway was an orange tabby who'd managed to prop himself up on a rose bush and pass out. James walked by and said "Hi, kitty" and got no reaction from the cat. I thought it was strange that a cat would sit out in the rain like that. On the way back, we noticed rthat the cat still hadn't moved, and made a closer investigation. He was breathing, but barely, and semi-conscious. We extracted him from the rose bush and he staggered about and then collapsed into a puddle. I thought about just leaving him there, since he isn't my cat, but I knew I'd be wondering about him all night and wouldn't be able to live with my conscience if I just left him there. So, off we go to the vet. Somehow on the way, he gets named Sam. The vet does an exam and runs a blood screen to rule out stuff. The tests were normal, but Sam was still very lethargic. So, the prognosis is not good. Either he's had some kind of brain trauma like a stroke or blood clot or aneurysm, or he got into some poison or somebody's weed stash. The doc gave him some fluids and heavy duty anti-inflamitories to get rid of any brain swelling, and said all we can do now is wait. I paid the couple hundred dollar vet bill and drove Sam over to my parents' house, where they reluctantly agreed to cat sit, since I can't take him to my place since he wasn't tested for feline leukemia, and both my cats are leuk negative. So, if he's had some kind of brain trauma, he'll probably go downhill over the next few days and have to be put down. If he got into rat poison or someone's stash, he'll probably be ok. I figure if he survives, we'll post "found kitty" signs in the neigborhood to see if we can find his home. So, good vibes for Sam, please? He's a very sweet cat.
  20. Hey, Ro... I've got two mains. A 190 Silhouette and a 190 Spectre. I'll be jumping the spectre at chicks rock, but you're welcome to use the silhouette, if a 190 will fit in your rig.
  21. If someone's going to be at Perris anytime during this week, and then is planning on going to Chicks Rock at Elsinore on Saturday, send me a PM. I need a favor. Thanks much!
  22. take piano lessons. you'll get basic theory and application all at once. theory won't make much sense all by itself.
  23. This is totally weird... but Snopes says it's true. FOOTBALL + ELECTION The Washington Redskins have proved to be a time-tested election predictor. In the previous 15 elections, if the Washington Redskins have lost their last home game prior to the election, the incumbent party has lost the White House. When they have won, the incumbent has stayed in power. This election year, that deciding game takes place on Sunday, October 31 ... vs. Green Bay. Go Packers!!! 30 October 2000 Redskins lose to Titans, 27-21, Incumbent party (Dem) Gore loses to Bush 27 October 1996 Redskins win vs. Colts at home, 31-16 Incumbent party (Dem) Clinton wins v. Dole. 1 November 1992 Redskins lose to Giants at home, 24-7 Incumbent party (Rep. ) Bush loses to Clinton 6 November 1988 Redskins win vs. Saints at home, 27-24 Incumbent Party (Rep) Bush wins v. Dukakis 5 November 1984 Redskins win vs. Falcons 27-14, Incumbent party (rep) Reagan wins v. Mondale 2 November 1980 Redskins lose to Vikings, 39-14 Incumbent Party (dem) Carter loses v. Dewey 5 November 1944 Washington Redskins win vs. Cleveland Rams, 14-10, Incumbent Party (Dem) Roosevelt wins v. Dewey 3 November 1940 Redskins win vs. Pittsburgh Pirates, 37-10, Incumbent Party (Dem) Roosevelt wins v. Willkie Going back to 1936 puts us beyond the beginnings of the Washington Redskins, as that year the Redskins franchise was still playing in Boston. Nonetheless, their knack for foretelling the outcome of presidential elections was already in place. 1 November 1936 Boston Redskins win vs. Chicago Cardinals, 13-10, Incumbent Party (Dem) Roosevelt wins v. Landon That is as far back as the streak goes. In 1932 the Washington Redskins were neither the Redskins nor a Washington team: they were the Boston Braves http://www.snopes.com/sports/football/election.asp
  24. :0:0 No jumping for me... still in the middle of midterms. Looking forward to getting back in the sky at Chick's Rock!
  25. I have a neptune and a protrack. If you can only get one, I'd go for the neptune, because it's more versatile. It can function as an audible, and a visual.
