That's a still from a camera not an eyeball. I can take a blurry picture of the wall across the room and it doesn't mean anything. And edit for focus... You have some arrows indicating 3200 / 5200 feet with no reference to relative sight. And there are windows and doors coming into focus but just on the edge. Where does anything here show 2000 feet? Looks 1000-1500 feet higher to me. Owned by Remi #?

I don't have the best eyesight, sparky... and windows come into focus for me at about 3K. I don't feel the least bit fucked at that altitude. A crusty old AFFI taught me that my first year jumping. Owned by Remi #?

You've taken my words out of context. I referenced trees as something to look at during a pattern, not in freefall. I also didn't suggest counting panes in windows. Owned by Remi #?

BIRTHDAY WISHES....FOR BILL COLE

Happy Birthday, Bill. Anything and everything else aside you're a pioneer, a free spirit, and a skydiver with more brass than most. Owned by Remi #? -
Take a number of rides to altitude paying attention to what the ground and the landmarks around your DZ look like at important points in freefall. Take a number of landings and pay attention to what the landmarks / houses / trees look like at significant points in your pattern. You should be able to transfer those general ideas anywhere. Your first mission, should you chose to accept it: At what altitude do doors and windows come info focus on the houses below you in freefall? What should you be doing when that happens? I wish the average dz.commer were given the right to lock one or two threads a year.... This is a massive "Who's on first" / "I know you are but what am I" fur ball. I'm going to pick the hair out from between my teeth and say that it's POINTLESS to continue this thread. Who's joining me? Owned by Remi #? -

What whuffo questions annoy you the most?

You left out the most common whuffo question: When can I expect payment? Owned by Remi #? -
I dunno Dave.... I put 300ish jumps on my 170 and then downsized to a 150. The difference seemed HUGE to me. It was nothing like changing from a 210 to a 190 or a 190 to a 170. The 170 to 150 change seemed to cross an exponential line of performance. Granted, I'm a tad wimpy.... but I put fewer than 100 jumps on the 150 and decided that being a little scared every time I landed it was stupid and dangerous. I noticed a significant change in the "safer" direction when I went back to my 170. Okay, shit.... I just realized you were talking about noticing rig size not canopy size and I almost deleted this but WTF. It might be valuable info to someone... Owned by Remi #?

How do you feel about evolution? Isn't that ultimately the normalization of the abnormal? Be it genetic or social it's evolution that leads to survival of a species. One could argue that "normal" animal procreation doesn't usually involve pairing / mating for life. Far fewer animals do it than humans. Humans started forcing permanent pairing as a means to keep land ownership and wealth flowing along lines of inheritance in most cultures. When we started doing that it was abnormal behavior. We've done it for so long now that it's normal. We made it a legal device influenced by our government at some point. The current state of the evolution of marriage is that one of the last groups of people to whom the institution is denied want the same legal protection of property that the government affords others. Get government out of the marriage business and this isn't an issue any more. It's not gay marriage (paring / mating) that's abnormal, it's government intervention in pairing / mating that's abnormal. Owned by Remi #? -
