What is one thing that you will absolutely never understand the appeal of?

I think you mean Harold... my guess is that we haven't heard anything from him lately because he was the *only* one who survived the "spiritual" apocalypse and departed the planet on game day. Owned by Remi #? -
It works like this: If you're mugged and you didn't have a handgun on your person to shoot the rat bastard in the face, it's the government's fault for failing to understand and enforce what the 2nd amendment means. If you're verbally assaulted and you yell back louder, it's the government's fault for failing to understand and enforce what the 1st amendment means. Owned by Remi #?

You honestly think that Jesus wouldn't disapprove of sitting on a mountain side rubbing your hands together and waiting for the end of the world while you stuff yourself on buttered popcorn? ETA: I mean, God told me that Jesus was going to be over here in the trenches fighting the good fight, not hiding in an enclave stroking a cat while he waited for total annihilation and passed judgement on others. God didn't *really* tell me that, BTW Owned by Remi #? -

Gays have been trying to get parental rights legally sorted out for a very long time. Owned by Remi #?

Using "carpet muncher" in this context makes it sound like a bad thing. Owned by Remi #?

I don't know either, but given that more and more states are allowing same-sex marriage and adoption, they're going to need to sort it out. Owned by Remi #?

I think that when a child is born, the person or 2 people who intend to "parent" the child should legally accept that responsibility. When shit goes south and only one of those people is actually doing the parenting, the other one is on the hook for child support. Owned by Remi #?

I couldn't agree more. Where is the line drawn though? Should we refuse to give anyone this benefit if 1 person in 10,00 abuses it. One in 5000? One in 2500? One in 1000? It sucks ETA: To rant on... I'm one of the least creative and artistic people that I've ever met by the standards that many of us judge artistic and creative... but I'm a very successful communications engineer. And one of the most primary things that inspired me to be an engineer was looking at the detail of the artwork that the government funded when I was a kid. There's value in so much of the stuff "we" consider frivolous. I pay more in federal taxes than a minimum wage earner "earns. Mostly because I stood in awe of a federally funded piece of art when I was a kid and saw the science and alchemy of it if not quite getting the creative part of it. It's just really fucking complicated. Owned by Remi #? -

The ultimate story on the story is that if we (I) donate a warm blanket, a couple of cans of tuna, and a winter coat to someone who's homeless, cold, and hungry, I'm either freeing up their limited disposable cash to buy candy, alcohol, and pot... or maybe I'm just helping them not be as cold, homeless, and hungry. Will a couple of idiots out of a thousand people be complete dicks and buy hookers and blow? I guess. I guess I'll use that as an excuse not to help anyone. Not. Owned by Remi #? -

That's what I read too. Existing "problem" is allowing people to use EBT cards at ATMs in general. ETA: Where's the outage about the same situation at Walmart where someone might use their EBT card to get cash to buy ammunition? Owned by Remi #? -
I really disagree on this one, Remi. Someone who is 5'10 and weighs 170 pounds can have a 30' inseam or a 34' inseam. Inseam measurements mean a *lot* if you're buying pants... I'm pretty confident that you wouldn't buy jeans online because they "fit" someone with roughly the same height and weight measurements as yours... and the only real danger in doing it anyway is looking a bit foolish. You can't judge the fit based on height and weight. Rig fit depends a *lot* on torso measurements like pants depend on inseam. Owned by Remi #?
