    We don't seem to be on the same page. ETA: No, there are rules that the tandem gear manufacturers require TIs to follow to keep their ratings. One of those set of rules addresses how much experience another jumper should have before being allowed to jump with the tandem pair. If you don't meet the requirements, you shouldn't ask the TI to let you jump with him. Owned by Remi #?

    I did my most stable exit at that point and spent all of my first solo freefall looking around at the ground and taking the area in. All of my jumps before that I was focusing on my instructor or coach and I never really got to look at the ground and *see* the DZ and the landmarks around it before my canopy was open.     ^ This It doesn't matter *how* skilled you are. If you ask the TI to ignore his rating requirements, you're putting that TI in a bad place. If something completely out of your control happens to make all hell break loose, you're another variable that the TI has to deal with.     Nothing at all (except some food service laws, I guess) prevents someone from baking cakes in their kitchen and picking and choosing who they chose to sell them to. That business model isn't going to bring in much profit, though. If the bakery wants access to a storefront in a public area (limited resource in the community), then they have to make the services available to all of the community.     We don't, as a rule, get to make use of business tax breaks and incentives unless we're running a business... and if you're using commercially zoned resources in a community, you actually *are* expected to make the property and services available to the community. Owned by Remi #?
