  1. ***Rush Limbaugh *** You lost me at Rush Limbaugh. To simply ignore that he has been on a mission to find anything negative or to make it up as he goes is dishonest at best. Not to mention for a person who has called others traitor I don’t find any thing more disgusting then him hoping for the failure of our nation. He uses people’s ignorance to line his pockets. In other words FUCK RUSH LIMBAUGH and anyone who wants this country to fail. You lost the race get over it. You also fucked the country up more then any terrorist ever could when you elected dumbass for the 2nd time, and the rep. were in charge. Why do we even humor them? NO ONE FUCKED THIS COUNTRY MORE THEN THE REPUBLICANS IN THE PAST 8 YEARS. So why should anyone with a functioning brain even listen to them any more? Key words being functioning brain. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  2. Nice man. Congurats Doctor. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  3. Freedom of speech. If you let one thing become censored then every thing can be censored. Don't buy it. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  4. If we want to say we are a great country and not just a large one we need to act like it. Not only should we investigate who was responsible for violating our constitution they should be punished with zero tolerance. Everyone involved needs to be brought to justice. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

  6. We did something for oil but pretended it was for noble reasons??????????????? hmmm where have i seen that before...oh yea everywhere. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  7. There is still bloodshed happening. Many have been executed on false drug charges. There is massive reports of torture, and rape. The current administration basically stayed out of it, and all reports seem to disappear from the public mind after MJ death. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  8. Glock 19- 9mm hollow point’s low recoil rounds. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  9. First great post. Your view could be 100 percent accurate. It is very hard to know who to trust and what is the motivation behind things people do or say. We tend to think the people we agree with are the ones telling the truth, if we didn’t we would change our view until we did. I think Jeremy Scahill really believes in what he is doing. I don’t think he decided to write a book with the intention of showing Blackwater in the worst light possible. I think he is a journalist and didn’t like what he found. Now I understand people have different strength reactions to different things. For some having a president that talks about god and Jesus helping find the way is comforting for others horrifying. I find Blackwater disturbing for a few reasons I have already mentioned in this thread. I rather see that money spent on our own solders who are open to scrutiny to the military courts. I do not like the idea of privet military. I think you might, and I don’t mean that as an insult. I do not and find my self angry and disappointed in the world, and people often. Thats my main issuie right there. Accountability That not all BS he is a bord emember of Christian Freedom International. He also cofounder The Family Research Council. The guys thinks Jesus is the way and he has a lot of people with guns on his payrol, not to mention most of them are in a Muslim part of the world. I can go on and on, but I do think he can easily be viewed as a crusader, and i think every american should have a huge problem witrh that. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  10. Would you be in support of expanding the military so that private organizations aren't needed? Keep in mind that eliminating all contractors would require quite a few (to put it mildly) military members. Yes it would cost less, and we would keep the best of the best in the military. Instead of spending millions to train them and then having them go to blackwater because of much better financial compensation. I also like the idea that our men and woman join the military with service in mind, I think there is a conflict of interest when it becomes just a check that depends on a continuing conflict. Also with the money saved, you could give our guys/gals a raise. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  11. My biggest problem is the gray area of none-accountability. I also don’t want our military or the military force we use to be a corporation. Corporation are designed to make a profit, and I don’t wish to make war a product. I still think being a war profiteer is a bad thing. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  12. http://washingtonindependent.com/23037/are-iraq-contractors-subject-to-us-law Read the above to get an idea of the cluster fuck the Bush administration has caused purposely so the blackwater guys can do what they wish. If we do not respect the UN, and at the same time state that no US contractors can be tried by the Iraqi or any foreign court, and at the same time know that they are immune from US law as it only pertains to within the us boarders. Then who do they answer to? No one. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  13. Unconstitutional because we believe in a system of checks and balances. This is a military operation paid for with our tax dollars, that answers to one branch, and is not supervised. Blackwater is our insurgency. Un-American because I believe we stand for justice or at least say we do. To immune a mercenary group from prosecution simply because they are Christian or American is hypocrisy. We believe in law, and no one is above it, or at least that’s what we strive for as would any other civil society. Other problem- When we pay our troops what we do and then offer Blackwater operatives huge salaries to be our privet army we lose the very people we trained in our military. It is counter-productive. We offer more money, and less laws, and regulation so we lose solders real solders to them as well. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  14. Odd thing to say in a war without battle lines? Blackwaters products is violence, and executing military-Like operations.’ Also they can not be prosecuted for their crimes. I am a US citizen and find it odd that hypocrisy is so accepted by my fellow citizens. If we call others barbaric or fault them for the way they do things? Should we at least not follow our own advice? If you didn;t know i was born in Iran would you even say that? Says more about you then me bro. Read again We bring them back and give them 6 months for murder. Yea thats fair. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  15. http://www.geopoliticalmonitor.com/content/news/2009-08-07/ex-employees-claim-blackwater-pimped-out-young-iraqi-girls/ This interviwe is what made me search for the link above. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0NZOw5tnGY This also reminded me of the thread I made long ago questioning the morality of someone who Chooses too get paid to kill. How should Blackwater be treated? Do you view Blackwater as something to be ashamed of? Or are you proud of them? I agree with Jeremy I think they are unconstitutional, and Un-American. Not to mention any armed group who is overly religious worries me. Oh and thanks to Bush they can not be prosecuted for their crimes by the people they did the crimes too? I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  16. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxRwQoNv4qA Have you watched this movie(RELIGULOUS)? I think you would love it, i did. This is the end of the movie. the last 5 min. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  17. I suggest if you have any thing to add to that debate you post on the correct thread. Nice to see your still thinking about it. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  18. Were talking about Innocent lives lost as of direct action that was taken under a false pretense. The only reason it might seem loaded is because people try to justify some loss of Innocent life while harshly condemning others. What are you going to say to the millions of Iraqis who have lost someone they love? ooops it doesn't count we killed them by mistake, or with better guns? That's justice!? I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  19. I had not heard that one before. To the OP yea i do not see how that can be seen as unintentional. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  20. We use the Fog of war to understand what a solder goes trough. Can you attempt the same understanding as to how someone can become a terrorist or a sucide bomber? Or are you all set with they hate us because we are free? I am all for understanding, and tolerance but when it is applied to all. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  21. I used Iraq because it was a war started on false reasons. No one can deny that. How the war can be viewed as legal brings up its own issues. Absolutely but my concern is when circumstances are only considered on one side. Both sides are reacting to their circumstance. It’s either murder or manslaughter Yes I agree. Againts our troops? Its kind of hard to kick down someone’s door guns blazing then complain that you got hurt while braking and entering their property don’t you think? I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  22. There are many situations that can add perspective on either side. The people we call terrorist are on their land, and the reason they use the horrific tactics they use is lack of capability. There is a way to excuse any action. I bet if the terrorists, insurgents or whatever you wish to call them had F16 they would be using them. The act of killing is the act of killing. Please don’t take this post the wrong way, I understand that mistakes happen, and being shot at and risking your life can make you make the wrong decision. However I believe both sides can make legitimate excuses for violence. However neither sides excuse is good enough if it is your son or daughter who is the one killed. I also think it is more rational to hold the citizens of a democratically elected country more responsible then you do citizens of a country run by dictator. For the reason that the citizens in a democratically elected country have more say in what their government does. I also feel the same way about a volunteer army compared to people who are drafted. You have more options and you have more responsibility. I just find it odd when some look at one side as black and the other white. Who I personally blame are the leaders who make the wrong call, and the people who no matter the facts blindly support their side, instead of putting the good of the country first. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  23. The story sounded like it was writen by Mr. Garrison. Prostitution or a form of it has always been legal in the Muslim world. They call it segha. This offers what Iranians value most when it comes to sexual relations. To remain discreet. I remember everyone acted like no one was having sex, but every person I knew was getting some. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  24. Likely to be killed sounds far away from the certainty that people will be killed. I find it hard to believe that any commander who has any experience would think there is a possibility that no inocent person would be killed in a war such as Iraq. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
  25. The weapons of war are different on every side depending on capability. War is fighting and killing. Dead is dead no matter if it was a result of bomb from a an F18 or a bomb attached to Ahmed. Every war has collateral damage, when we make the decision to go to war we make the decision knowing inocent people will die. We try to justify this by giving reasons for going to war. However when those reasons are false it means we made a mistake. So do you just say ooopppps sorry or do you want the people responsible to pay for their crimes? I think many decide whom they will show compassion too and who gets zero tolerance by who did the crime, and not the crime it self. The worst part is I think the ones mots guilty of this do not even see it. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
