I read the whole article and everything important that needed to be confirmed was done by the Israelis. That is not too comforting at all. History has proven over and over again that the Israeli government cares for no one but them selves. They will use any means necessary to get their mission accomplished. That has included torture, the murder of Palestinians woman and children, not to mention the murder of an American peace activist. If the Israelis have nothing to hide why don’t the Israelis allow UN peacekeepers? Why don’t they allow independent groups to research situation such as this one? I was not there so I am not saying yes it was a shell from an Israeli battle ship, or saying it was a Hamas mine placed to fight the Israeli invasion. All I am saying is Israel has a very shady past, and if they want to be taken seriously they should let an independent group research situations such as these. Anyone still think that the war wasn't planned pre-9/11?
Darius11 replied to idrankwhat's topic in Speakers Corner
I understand that every army has to practice situations that might happen. For Example nuclear war was practiced and still is done with may different scenarios. The big difference here is that this was not a practice but expressing a desire to invade Iraq with any excuse possible. When it comes down to it if this information is correct, then the American people were lied to and played. It means they had planed to Invade Iraq for reasons other then WMD, or democracy. Now I know most of us with a fully functional brain knew before the war even started that it was not about WMD, but many believed what they saw on TV and were manipulated. Practicing for war not a big issue, Lying to your own citizens, and manipulating the world so you can get you goal accomplished is sleazy and dishonest at best. Darius11 replied to idrankwhat's topic in Speakers Corner
You’re a smart guy do you really need him to explain his point? The war was planed before 9-11. Everything said and done to get the war on its way was an excuse. Do you get the point now? I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain -
I hope your right, trust me nothing would make me happier then being wrong about the Iraq war. It would be great to see a real democracy in Iraq. I am still afraid at best we will have a theocracy (much like Iran) and that will not be good for anyone. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

It’s sad really. 30000 + dead, billions of dollars spent and one dude who actully had a part in 9-11 is dead. WOW Any one dancing in the streets over this? How about waving the flag and feeling extreemly proud? I would have disagree with markharju, I didn’t do it and I know a few people who would stand and say they were againts the Iraq war from the begning. 30000 + dead for one guy?????????? I don’t know in whos mind that’s a fair traid or a win. How many billions of dollars have been spent? Was the guy a bad dude? yes. Good thing he was killed? Yes Is this really the victory that it is made out to be, or is it the lack of victories in this war makes this killing of one evil man a big deal. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

Met Alec Baldwin back in NY, and one of my friends worked on his cars. From what i could tell he was a nice guy and very down to earth. Just because a chick is hot that doesn’t mean she can’t be a royal pain in the ass dude. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

Depends on what they ate the day before. Anyway, yeah I think it's time to get over it. Who cares what they think about Bush anyway. People have their own minds made up about the Prez anyway, so no one's gonna change because of what one famous person said years ago. hopefuly not corn I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

There ok, I like some of there music. Their view of the president was not wrong in my book, and I don't see what the big deal is. They said how they felt, there is cameras with clebs no matter what they do. If one of them would have taking a shit outside that would have been all over the place too. Any one holding a grudge listen up, They don't give a fuck what you think. There still making music, making money, and in my book have respect. Not because I agree with what they said, but because they had the guts to say something other then stock PC bull shit. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

So. Do we execute THESE kinda guys for desertion?
Darius11 replied to akarunway's topic in Speakers Corner
Your position might have a little traction if he joined up prior to the Iraq war. But from what I read here he joined up in 2003, after the war had started. So certainly he knew, or should have known, that it was entirely possible, if not probable, that he'd be posted there. And that's what I think the fatal flaw is in his position. I did not know that, and agree with you now that i do. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain -

Darius11 replied to akarunway's topic in Speakers Corner
Lt. Watada showed some balls. It takes a lot of guts to stand up for what you believe in. I am sure he knew he would be called many names and might serve time in jail. I fully agree with what he is doing. I have no issue in fighting to protect the US, but not an unjust war like this one. Some of the most respected people who we now view as heroes were viewed as traitors at one point or another. They had the vision and the courage to stand up for what they believe is right. No matter what a contract says you have to be able to be at peace with what you do. There is nothing more valuable then that, Nothing. Have you ever paid cash for a brand new car?
Darius11 replied to jumpjunkie2004's topic in The Bonfire
Hell no, never had that much cash. Credit baby credit -
I think what she is saying is. Clinton lied about something that was personal. It didn’t effect me or you or some poor bastard sitting in his house in Iraq. It also didn't cost billions of dollars, and most importent it didn't end up costing 30000 + lives So using an excuse like “look at what Clinton did” is a really lame one. So either find a new excuse or except the truth. That shit's getting old I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

I was one of those people who got fired because I am from Iran, I was also one of those people that even after being fired applied with the FBI so I could help out in finding who was responsible. I am also one of those people who has the intelligence to understand who is responsible and not to blame everyone for the actions of a few I am also one of those people who has seen other countries and other cultures. I am one of those people who values all life the same no matter what color they are no matter what country they are a citizen of. What kind of person are you? I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

That because when the Muslims kill there is enough voices of reason that say what was done was wrong there is no one protecting the murders. That is not the case when a US troop has committed murder. You guys bring every excuse known to man to make them seem right or just for there murder Simple really John. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

In case you forgot what this thread was about. We have spent $286,429,796,292 on the Iraq war witch I can easily say most people think was wrong to start. It is good to think what the money could have done If any of this information in my thread is incorrect feel free to point it out. But I mean come-on man where do you see me say Iran is better or make any such comparison. The only time I mentioned Iran was to answer your question. Really grow up. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

Oh Intelligent and educated one (wait for laughter to stop) *** Does Iran provide free public education for all females?*** Iran offers free public education to males and females, and free higher education as well. In Iran Females have the same rights as males but off course you wouldn't know that. Guess what John they can drive and count for more then 50% of the people in universities. Why are you so uninformed? Now lets see if you can answere my questions. What the hell does comparring the US and Iran have to do with the topic in this post? Other then your hatred for me is there anywhere you see me compare the two contries in this thread? Grow up man. Your opinion has become nothing but a source of laughter to me. You can at least try to sound smart. I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

http://nationalpriorities.org/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=182 Cool web site shows what could have been done with the money. I wonder why we never feel strongly about helping. We would have never spent this money on Aids, or higher education, but we have no issues about using this money to kill. What the fuck is wrong with us? I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

The war on terror is like the war on drugs. It is a war that can not be won. There will always be people who will fight for what they believe. There will always be people who view some terrorist as their freedom fighters and there will always be people who view a liberation army as the occupation army. Someone will always be pissed enoughto fight One thing I find very interesting is this. What the money WASTED in Iraq would have done for other causes that would have helped Americans. Here is a link below to give you an idea. http://nationalpriorities.org/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=182 I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
