China 'willfully inflicted coronavirus upon the world'

Yea...you and Clinton
-
I see what you did there. I'm a little slow on the uptake these days. Didn't you have a problem with Trump and the "Chinese Flu" thing.
-
In the beginning of all this I felt the way you do. I've since changed my tune based on what I've seen worldwide. I've had a heart attack, I smoked for almost 50 years. If I get it I'm as good as done. Talked with my wife today more about hospice than going to an ER and clogging up a bed that might be used to help someone. With hospice she could at least get good comfort drugs.

The Road to Coronavirus Hell Was Paved by Evangelicals
airdvr replied to Phil1111's topic in Speakers Corner
He's got to make his Mercedes payments. Hope they arrest him too. On a lighter note I see that most "faith healings" have been postponed. I guess they haven't figured out how to hold their meetings in the ICU. -
When you believe in your invisible friend in the sky there's no limit. Barnum was right.
-
Kind of figured they were fudging the numbers. They always do.
-
Still lots of people out and about here in Ohio...at least in Canton anyways.
-
When you go to a non-Tesla station I'm assuming they are charging ($$) for the service?
-
Where did I say it was the only reason? It certainly had an impact.
-
Exactly Wendy. I think range is still the biggest hurdle they face. It creates uncertainty in the market. I look at the range figures like I look at MPG estimates on the new car stickers. I don't think I've ever owned a new vehicle that actually hit those MPG numbers. But there's gas stations every where. 5 minutes and you're done. Your EV would have been useful as a paperweight during this. 2003 blackout

Not seeing anything in here about the CDC tests not working. That might have something to do with it as well, but that's more difficult to examine because of your TDS.

It's not like we had a Jonestown event with masses snorting their fish cleaning supplies.

Picked up a new tidbit of info with regards to ventilators. I guess not just anyone can set up and operate a vent. 20,000 or 30,000 vents aren't going to be useful without the folks to set them up and operate them. On top of that you can only be on a vent for ~10 days before you need to be trached, https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2020/03/27/coronavirus-hospitals-face-shortages-respiratory-therapists-run-ventilators/2914635001/

That;s the problem...I trip over your TDS in just about every thread here.
-
What about initial cost? Are the EV prices getting down to a similar ICE vehicle?

I've come to the realization that the only way the majority of people here in the US will take the shelter in place seriously is when they start to see people they know dying. Right now it's celebrities but soon we'll all know someone. https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/music/2020/03/30/i-love-rock-n-roll-songwriter-alan-merrill-dies-joan-jett-mourns/2938219001/?fbclid=IwAR1L0KfS3CZsMjOndv9oGOBAqrR6TZqvdnFnCxqLCHygGcJ8iezepwinNpg https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-country/joe-diffie-country-singer-dead-obituary-974556/

Not at all. In fact I agree with your statements. I'm just a bit tired of the TDS pollution in here.
-
We're talking about energy here John. Please take your TDS to a different thread.

It's called capitalism. Winners and losers. The shale boom was supposed to revive the rust belt here in Ohio and for a while it did. But in order for it to work well prices at the pump needed to be ~$4/gal. I've watched the fate of Chesapeake for some time...constantly re-inventing itself. The big winners were the land owners who were paid fantastic sums of money for the mineral rights. I think the shale revolution has ground to a halt.

China 'willfully inflicted coronavirus upon the world'
airdvr replied to airdvr's topic in Speakers Corner
FLASHBACK Jan. 14: WHO Tells Everyone Don’t Worry Because China Says Coronavirus Isn’t Contagious The World Health Organization (WHO) tried to calm fears of a pandemic on Jan. 14 by repeating China’s claim that coronavirus was not contagious among humans. “Preliminary investigations conducted by the Chinese authorities have found no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission of the novel #coronavirus (2019-nCoV) identified in #Wuhan, #China,” the WHO tweeted. Still think the WHO isn't complicit? -
My tracker says we just passed China in total number of cases.
-
Great...now you got him thinking he's swell.

Not a distraction. Just adding some perspective. And I do listen to my wife more than Trump.
