  1. I don't think it's mental fiction. From what I've seen there are 4 reports. The initial coroner findings, revised coroner findings, and 2 from ME's hired by the family days after the death. I think the ME's hired by the family are biased. Chauvin might have been able to save Floyd had he not been such an idiot. I think the other LEO's who stood by are culpable as well.
  2. You are correct. I shouldn't have been so absolute as to the cause of his death. Still, you don't question... Fentanyl 11. He said, “that’s pretty high.” This level of fentanyl can cause pulmonary edema. Mr. Floyd’s lungs were 2-3x their normal weight at autopsy. That is fatal level of fentanyl under normal circumstances. How is it ignored in subsequent autopsies as not a factor?
  3. I'm not holding myself out as an expert. I'm asking questions.
  4. More than likely what will happen in the trial.
  5. Post #7 Let me just say that I don't believe Chauvin was responsible for his death directly. Floyd died of a drug OD. But...Chauvin and the others had a duty of care that was neglected. One of those fools should have stepped in to make sure Floyd was OK.
  6. Way to reduce the argument to the impossible Bill. Oldest sales trick in the book. Care to add anything of value?
  7. Are you saying it's not at least a possibility?
  8. I agree that Chauvin needs to pay for Floyd's death.
  9. Additional info found online. AB walked us down the list of substances for which NMS labs tested. Those values he highlighted were: 4ANPP precursor and metabolite offentanyl present in Mr. Floyd’s blood. Methamphetamine 19 ng/ML which he described as “very near the low end” and “a stimulant hard on the heart.” Fentanyl 11. He said, “that’s pretty high.” This level of fentanyl can cause pulmonary edema. Mr. Floyd’s lungs were 2-3x their normal weight at autopsy. That is fatal level of fentanyl under normal circumstances. Norfentanyl —- 5.6 metabolite of fentan AB said that if Mr. Floyd had been found dead in his home (or anywhere else) and there were no other contributing factors he would conclude that it was an overdose death. 10. https://www.startribune.com/floyd-s-autopsy-makes-medical-examiner-a-rare-target-of-anger/571343522/ Nationwide, people expressed outrage when prosecutors released the preliminary findings of George Floyd’s autopsy, highlighting cardiovascular disease and “potential intoxicants” in his system, as if those factors might explain his death as police officers pinned him to the ground. The findings contained just one mention of physical trauma, noting that Floyd’s body showed no signs of asphyxia or strangulation. The public and some medical professionals cried foul, putting Dr. Andrew Baker, Hennepin County’s medical examiner, squarely in the hot seat. Just sayin'.
  11. Why was he complaining about not being able to breath before he was on the ground?
  12. I agree with your reasoning but I don't think Minneapolis is prepared for the backlash if it's not a murder conviction. That's the unfair part.

  14. No chance this poor sot gets a fair one.
  15. Hi Jerry, Good question. Seems as though there are 2 distinct problems here Mental health and access to firearms. I don't believe you'll have much success with a Constitutional Amendment. I can hear the hue and cry about the government coming to take your guns. Of the past attempts at legislation of a federal level the Brady Bill seemed to have the most teeth and yet it only addresses handguns and hasn't been very effective. From the inception of the NICS system in 1998 through 2014, more than 202 million Brady background checks have been conducted.[20] During this period approximately 1.2 million attempted firearm purchases were blocked by the Brady background check system, or about 0.6 percent.[21] The most common reason for denials are previous felony convictions.[21] Prosecution and conviction of violators of the Brady Act, however, is extremely rare. During the first 17 months of the Act, only seven individuals were convicted. In the first year of the Act, 250 cases were referred for prosecution and 217 of them were rejected.[22] A 2000 study found that the implementation of the Brady Act was associated with "reductions in the firearm suicide rate for persons aged 55 years or older but not with reductions in homicide rates or overall suicide rates."[23] While it's a good soundbite I don't think the Feds can pass a bill that is effective, or at least as effective as it need be. AR ban? What happens to the ones already in circulation? Mental health issues need to be looked at harder. Here in my little part of Ohio there is little help available to those who need it. Let's remember that there is no perfect answer.
  16. Seems fairly simple to do a study on where the shooters in all of these incidents got their weapons and attack that problem first. There must be a pattern somewhere.
  17. Stupid question. Do we know where these last 2 shooters obtained their weapons?
  18. Chicago doesn't have the gun control laws people so often think they do.

All the tech coming is very cool...until your drive by wire computer gives you the blue screen of death.
  21. Fascinating doc with conversations straight from the wiretap transcripts.
  22. I agree as well. Any smart business owner knows the downside to skirting the rules. Sounds like Bill was down to the panties.
  23. Well I don't know that much about him or his operation. I've heard things but I'm interested in the opinions of people who know way more about him than me.
