    And once again we have the left putting little halo's over the heads of the folks crossing the border illegally. I agree that it needs to be easier for people to get in but until you gain control of the southern border it's stupid to ease the requirements. Nightingale...the technology exists to close the southern border. We just don't have enough politicos willing to grow some and require it. They know it would damage the economy to have to pay minimum wage to some former welfare recipient to work the fields, and the welfare recipient has no reason to do that as long as he's on his uncle's tit.     Back in my youth I started my day with a big bong hit. Weed was something me and my friends grew out of..at least most of them. I think it should be legalized.     OK..now we're really stretching. Unemployment comp won't float my boat so that's not an option. I just don't like being micro-managed. To me it says 'we hired you to do a job, but we don't trust that you're doing it.' Plus, in commissioned sales if you don't do your job you starve. Old saying...weak salespeople have skinny kids.     Bullshit. Try not being able to get any job or woefully under employed. Been there too and you're correct. That would be way worse than my current situation. So, can we get back to my whining about my job now? 100% commission, work every weekend, phone calls recorded, dealing with the general public, everyone knows the housing market sucks and I've managed to get 7 people to commit to build a new home over the last 6 weeks (2 in a month is my goal) and now I need to have daily meentgs with the boss.     Thanks. By the time i get home I'm ready for sedation. I tell my son this story about how I'm now 51, no formal education, should probably be thankful for having a job.     It can be second-worse to unemployment and its consequences. Having said that, though: Yes. It can suck pretty bad. I can remember the day when companies trusted their employees. At least where I work those days are gone. My calls are recorded and critiqued. My manager now wants to review my work on a daily basis. It's fucking micro-management and I can't stand it.
