  4. Correct. Unfortunately the next step will be government run single payer which is what the left wanted all along. This abortion of a health care system will fold under its own weight. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
  5. If only the people in charge of making the laws could articulate themselves as well as you can perfesser. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
  6. They don't want to talk about it because the individuals it was designed to help didn't really want help, won't buy the insurance, and pay no income taxes so the government is without a device to force them to buy. You and I on the other hand are about to get a train pulled on us. Welkome to Amerika comrade. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
  7. It's called the 'Graveyard of Empires' for a reason. For years we've been trying to install a republic in the ME somewhere, hoping it would somehow catch fire and enlighten the area. One can see the policy is sketchy at best. How I wish we didn't need their oil. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
  8. Something to keep in mind; there has been a lot of discussion lately about trouble with reserves deploying when the main is still in the container. One of the theories is that the main still being in the container makes the reserve more difficult to deploy. So, your EP isn't over until you've got a reserve over your head. You might have to give the reserve pack a nudge or three with your elbow. Remember, never give up! Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
  9. Reading comprehension skills are a bit weak. I said most are heroes. Nobody's perfect anywhere....even skydivers. You might even be a rapist, murderer, or traitor. How do you define "most"? A majority of servicemen and women are never in a combat role. For example, sitting in a missile silo in South Dakota is not exactly the stuff heroes are made of. These days civilians are as much at risk as non-combat military personnel. You don't have to be in a war zone to be a hero. The personal sacrifice every person makes to be in the military is enough for me. Whom do you think a hero figure should be? Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
  10. > Two Middle East mothers are sitting in a cafe chatting over a plate of tabouli and a pint of goat's milk. > The older of the two pulls a small folder out of her handbag and starts flipping through photos. They start reminiscing. > ''This is my oldest son, Mujibar. He would have been 24 years old now.'' > ''Yes, I remember him as a baby.'' says the other mother cheerfully. > "He's a martyr now though." the mother confides. > "Oh, so sad dear...'' says the other. > ''And this is my second son, Khalid. He would have been 21.'' > ''Oh, I remember him,'' says the other happily, ''he had such curly hair when he was born.'' > ''He's a martyr too...'' says the mother quietly. > ''Oh, gracious me...'' says the other. > ''And this is my third son. My baby. My beautiful Ahmed. He would have been 18', she whispers. > "Yes," says the friend enthusiastically, ''I remember when he first started school...'' > ''He's a martyr also,'' says the mother, with tears in her eyes. > After a pause and a deep sigh, the second Muslim mother looks wistfully at the photographs and, searching for the right words, says . . . > "They blow up so fast, don't they?" 22. You really want to compare what happened in Benghazi to 9/11? We're supposed to be better than that now. What happened is important. And what the american people were told in the days following is important. Personally, I have little trouble believing that the administration withheld information 30+ days before a close election because it was not politically expedient to do so. If you don't even entertain that possibility they sell white canes down at the corner pharmacy. You'll need one. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
  23. As do I. Too late by about 50 some years. Government broke it and now they have to fix it, even if the fix is to stop doing what they're doing. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
  24. The idea is to never get to step 3. How? By not having your hero president Clinton throw his weight around and threaten lenders to give mortgages to people who can't repay them, or how about not listening to Barney Frank when he assures us that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are not in trouble, even though congress has been repeatedly asked to reign them in. Yes, neighborhoods that are occupied by renters are better than vacant crack houses. Neighborhoods occupied with single family owners who go to work and pay taxes and raise kids are best. In order to get there we have to start with high school graduation rates and teen parents. Leave Lala Land and come see Cleveland, or Akron, or Canton. The Great Society experiment is a huge failure and no one is doing anything to make it better. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
  25. Maybe 10% of the time. On yes, I can see step 7 happening in the attached picture . Only in the most liberal of minds would you think that renting properties that were once single family owner occupied dwellings would be a step in the right direction. In the real world it usually hits step 4 and stays there. Step 5 actually becomes the taxpayer ends up subsidizing these armpits of the world. There's no incentive to better oneself.
