Would you be so kind as to enlighten me about this "thug" profile? Exactly what characteristics identify someone as a "thug"? I'd like to be able to identify any "thugs", should they happen to wander into my neighborhood. Don I don't know where you live. As much as I enjoyed the time I spent visiting Chicago I was always amazed that my step-daughter and her husband chose to live in a high-rise 2 BR that went for $3500/mo. They never blinked an eye. Now they're moving to another bastion of liberal politics...San Fran and just rented a 2 br apt in mountain view for... wait for it.... $5800/mo. And again it's no big deal. Perhaps? the dumbest statement ever written on this site. I have seen many times where blacks got longer sentences or found guilty more often than whites. I'm sure that's what he meant. Well, yes, but it also rather clearly suggests that race-based criminal laws did not exist in the US, at least in modern times. And that's simply incorrect. For example, Jim Crow laws in the Deep South were enforced by criminal sanctions until 1964. That's not only within my lifetime, it's within my active memory; and jokes about Twardo notwithstanding, that's modern enough for me. Absolutely it's modern enough for you to keep dredging it up and somehow trying to equate it to today's circumstances. It's ancient history and only matters to the people who would rather remain victims than take responsibility for their lot in life. As I said earlier Barry could have pointed out what he did differently in his life to end up as POTUS and not some thug in Florida. Or maybe you think it's amazing that he was born in 1961 and somehow wasn't lynched. I'm willing to bet that if you asked Barry why he didn't end up like TM he'd give alot of the credit to the people who raised him.
