    Hi! I demo a samurai, and compare it to the katana, i did and the samurai opens better , are not as ground hungry. loses about the same altitude in a dive and goes forever on the rears.I jumped them at a wl of 1:7 so it might behave different on a 2:0 loading. The katana size was 135, and the samurai 136, the samurai has the new HMA linset, witch i think all manufactured in the last year or so has.

    Last year i got the info that he might be offering the Sensie in the relative near future, and i would be a signature series or limited production canopy. Guess he has made up his mind about that then

    There was a post here on the forum about that a while ago, where there was rumors of a new PD "X braced". Think it was entitled Velocity future.... Anyone know if Brian G is ever going to release the sensie.

    Thanks for the info. It was a demo canopy so i'm sending it back to the dealer so he could check it out, and i'm going to talk to him and see if he have had anyone else complaine about the canopy. I think i,m going to stay with my Samurai another season and hopefully i will be in florida for 2 weeks in march, and maybe i can demo another velocity when i'm there.

    I was really carefull when packing, and i quartered the slider, pulling just a little out in front of the nose, not pushing the nose inside the packjob just like PD recomends. I packed my friends 96 the same way and it has opened soft, so it might be some other issues this canopy.

    I had the chance to demo a velocity 103, this weekend. WL 2:2. The question is, since it's DOM was 99:03 and had the original vectran lineset, jumps unknown if i have to guess about 600.. How representative for a new velocity is it. Main concerne is the openings, the subterminal was ok, fast but not really hard. The terminal was very brisk, about 1,5 sek from releasing the pilotchute until the canopy was open. I don't think my packing caused this, because i have packet velocity for my friends and they all opened ok. So are there any changes on a velocity manufactured today that affect the openings, flying characteristics etc. //Jonas

    Hi! I got the info that all new samurai comes as standard with the "longer" HMA lineset. anyone tried one? //JF

    I have a lotus max 136 loaded at 1:7 and it opens better then then my old sabre2 or any sabre2 i tried. It doesn't chew up altitude in the snivel but it still opens soft, and on heading. And my personal opinion is that it that it dives longer in frontriser and has a slightly steeper glide in normal flight then the sabre2, and it's has more bottom end lift.
