  2. I'm not lurkin i'm participating . I drink it if you drink a captain and coke...
  3. 7,5% ouch that's to strong to be tasting any good.
  4. Well you know us , any beer will be fine, exluding that cheap german canned crap that's fore sale at the DZ.
  5. He already has the nickname "bambi killer" around the DZ for the other 2 road kills he had the past years.. I think we have to change that soon, he stepped it up to another level, with the moose Glad your ok. //JF
  6. The rings shape are not deformed, they are still round and flat but there are some sharp edges, and a was told by the manufactures rigger not to jump them anymore. The was me trying to be ironic, since i tought it was pretty obvious what caused the dents. I blame the jetlag for that comment sorry //JF
  7. "If you will look at cadmium plated middle rings with over 100 jumps on them, you will see a slight "compression" of the plating evenly all around the "back" side of the ring." Well as you can hopefully see in the picture, they are not "slightly compressed" they are reltively deep dents in the middle ring. "This is likely the result of contact with the harness ring during opening." "Even gently used rings can show this effect. Hard openings are not a prerequisite." The ring is according to the manufacturer to soft, and a proper one will not show this effect. The risers are replaced and are not being jumped. I asked about this because i have never seen this severe deformation in my 10+ years in the sport and neither had my rigger. //JF
  8. The large ring of my risers have been dented and deformed. see attachment. Anyone else had this problem?. I was told that it has been seen before. The rings are cadmium plated. The risers has about 200 jumps and are not subject to hard openings. Just curious how common this is. //JF
  9. Anyone know what sizes will be availible? Last i heard when Brian was making them himself 101sqf was the biggest.
  10. I had some problems with the first one i had, it wasn't tight enough, but the manufacturer replaced it with a new revision that has a slightly different locking pin. And now it works well. No signs of wear yet, and i been using it for 6 months. Real happy with it, no snag points when the camera is removed. //J
  11. Fat Tail as i understand the description of it, it is simply what it says, that the tail is fatter. //J
  12. I know a few jumpers at the dropzone that were going the lotus/samurai direction, but when only the signature series are availble, then they are going to reconsider there canopy choice.... and we have a lot of brians canopies at our dropzone If you know where to look the there are some info availble about the sensei. http://www.bigairsportz.com/sensei.php
  13. Yes he has always made signature series but before you had the shoice of getting one that "PD" has made for less money. I personaly loves his canopies, both the lotus max i had and my current samurai, i asked him about the sensei a few month ago, but he only sells them to people he know and i'm not one of them. So i went the velo route...
  14. I Heard that PD is not manufacturing canopies for Brian anymore, and if you look at bigairsportz websites it states that that the canopies are only availible as "signature series" for 2799$.
  15. Mirage has a new swoop option on their risers to, the dive loop is attached about "1" higher on the risers and has a stiffener inside to keep them open. I like them. //JF
  16. Got an answer from them today, suit is being shipped tomorrow. //JF
  17. I have got straight answers from the before, and they have answered the questions i have had, the customer support has been great. Thats why i ask if someone have had trouble with contacting them. I have some questions about a suit i ordered and haven't got a reply on the e-mailes i sent them. I guess i have to call them later this week. //JF
  18. Hi! Have anybody had any trouble getting in touch with sonic via e-mail for the last 2 weeks? //JF
  19. Problem solved, just got a e-mail from the manufacturer, they have had some problems with a batch, i am getting a replacement. //JF
  20. The threads seems to be fine atleast they feel tight. It's the sideway motion of the camera that worries me. It seems that the quick pin is not tight enough in the casing, it has too much play, i can move the quickpin about 1mm side to side when it is in locked postition. //JF
  21. Hi! I have mounted my EOS400D with Zkulls, the problem i have is that the quickpin is not tight enough to hold the camera still, it moves "Rattles". Does anyone else have this problem?. I have e-mailed RCB-lab about this but wanted to check if anyone else has this problem , as it is now i can't use it //JF
  22. Hi! I hava a pc101 and if you set Program AE to landscape it doesn't focus, same goes for beach and ski, it's not a problem just focus manually or set program AE to auto and focus, then switch to program you want to use..
  23. Hi! I own a samurai 136, and i have jumped a katana 135, personally i dont think there is any noticeable difference in dive between the samurai and the katana, i do have the samurai with hma lines and the new longer lineset, so i don't know how an older version of the samurai compare. I'm also jumping a WL at 1:7.
  24. Canopy time numbers? I have no problem letting bigger and lightly loaded land before me if i want, and i haven't landed out in over 2 years and i do my share of tandem videos. Regarding ground hungry, The neptune reads 11-12m/s decent rate under the samurai, the katana if i remember correctly was 13 m/s, velo loaded at 2:2 16 to17m/s decent rate,
  25. A samaurai is plenty ground hungry compared to a sabre2 etc, but since he wanted a canopy that is easy to get home from bad spots, and the samurai planes out real nice on the rears. I know the velocity is extremely ground hungry, i jumped a 103 at 2:2 I think that the dive and recovery arc are far more important things to get used to on the road to a velo than how ground hungry the canopy is.
