Schweet!! It works!! Awesome vid, guys. Blues, squares, PTiger *insert witty sig here*

I figured since summer courses start in 1 hour 35 minutes (and I still don't know where the building is ) I should try to be smart again. Here's hoping it works!! Blues, squares, PTiger *insert witty sig here*

That's awesome!! Do you know where that's published, or what agencies and sets of regulations I should search to find it? Blues, squares, PTiger *insert witty sig here*

I get the same error, with WinZip and WinRar. Gotta be the file. How much compression are you getting? I thought that most movie formats already used compression algorithms, so you can only get 1 or 2% extra. Blues, squares, PTiger *insert witty sig here*

Uh-oh... I sense a front-page video vault clip coming up! Congrats Pyke!! Blues, squares, PTiger *insert witty sig here*

I think it's because some of the firsts were ignominious, like landing in a tree or having a reserve ride. The idea is that you escaped paying for it health-wise, so you should offer up something for getting away ok. Maybe buying beer for good firsts grew out of buying beer for bad firsts? Any historians out there to help us? Blues, squares, PTiger *insert witty sig here*

If you think about it every plane ride is cheap, whether you're going to 12,500 and then out the door or from New York to Tokyo. It's just that the airlines charge you extra to do the landing themselves. Blues, squares, PTiger *insert witty sig here*

Wingy, you should know by now that obsessive/compulsive posting here is ABSOLUTELY NORMAL! Blues, squares, PTiger *insert witty sig here*

Dangit, that's the last time I tell you any of my juicy secrets. Besides, I thought Rising Fallers didn't count! We should probably exempt Incident Reports, too. Though come to think of it, they don't even publish names with those. Blues, squares, PTiger *insert witty sig here*

You hit Old Hand at 300. Folks, remember that Sangiro created the Errors and Bug Reports forum just for things like this... Blues, squares, PTiger *insert witty sig here*

Hey I thought you said I was bigger than most guys you'd... forget I brought that up. But I am bigger, right? right? Blues, squares, PTiger *insert witty sig here*

1. The landing pattern is suddenly disrupted by the presence of buzzards. 2. Just before he hooks your static line up, the j/m looks you straight in the eye and, in a chilling voice, asks "Do you believe in God?" 3. The WDI ends up four miles from the DZ. 4. Setting up your final approach, you notice a police car parked right behind yours. I know most of y'all are funnier than me. Come up with some more!! Blues, squares, PTiger *insert witty sig here*

Page 27, column 1: Ramon, is this the first time your name has appeared in Parachutist?
-
This is probably waaaaaaaay far down on your list, but it appears that people who registered in the past few days are't getting a rank at all - I only see a "()" underneath their names, instead of "(Newbie)". I noticed it on Rhino's post and DZBone's post; there are probably a few others. Also, for some people I think there's an extra non-breaking space after Newbie but before the close parenthesis. Ex: (Newbie ) No big deal, just FYI. Blues, squares, PTiger *insert witty sig here*

Dude, what are you talking about? Mr. Floaty over there regularly gets 6½ minutes of freefall!! Blues, squares, PTiger *insert witty sig here*

Get a life!!!! nah, you know I'm just pushing your buttons. I'm not online because I've been merrily mowing the lawn. DZ and new rig will have to wait until next weekend. Just remember folks, somewhere out there, there is someone more pathetic than you. Some of us may have to search harder to find that person, but still... Unfortunately, if you go long stretches without jumping neither method will work for you. The best advice I can offer is to save your money until you can do 2 or 3 jumps per weekend. It took me 10 months to do 6 jumps, and 3 of them were repeats. I finally punched out my last 4 AFF jumps in one weekend and didn't have to repeat any of them. Thanks for sharing Dave. I know most of the people here are low-timers (myself included) so giving us a peek at the decision process is a HUGE help. Glad it turned out okay for you! Blues, squares, PTiger *insert witty sig here*

Did you ever consider riding the plane back down instead of jumping the unknown rig? It always seems like you can get away with 1 mistake, you break bones at 2 mistakes, and at 3 mistakes you usually wind up in Parachutist. Why take the chance that this is Step 1 on the road to Incident Reports? Blues, squares, PTiger *insert witty sig here*

waaaaaaaaaah - I lost my Old Hand status. now I must make 7 frivolous posts to be respectable again. Blues, squares, PTiger *insert witty sig here*

Why do I get the feeling that... Oh, I can't do it. I just can't say it. But it's so tempting! M u s t r e s i s t... Blues, squares, PTiger *insert witty sig here*

Good eye, Ramon!! Does anyone know when they'll demonstrate something more than slick Flash animations? Blues, squares, PTiger *insert witty sig here*

My training was if you've pulled one handle, you have to pull the other two. Anybody else hear that in the FJC? Do you think it's useful (makes sense to me...) or were they just trying not to cram our little how-fo brains with too much info and too many scenarios? Blues, squares, PTiger *insert witty sig here*

h4w h4w h4w!! Too funny, man... I wish Robbo had educated me like that too. Blues, squares, PTiger *insert witty sig here*

I haven't made enough jumps to really set any one plane apart from another, but my second jump was from a King Air with a stereo in it. As soon as we got off the ground they started playing music, random stuff like "Chantilly Lace." Relaxed music like that was better than aggressive or energetic music because it really helped me calm down. Since that jump I haven't been on any loads where they still play music, I think because experienced jumpers preferred to use the silence to concentrate on their dives. I think they still play music on mostly student loads; it's a great way to help them to relax. What do y'all think of music in the plane for the first 9,000 ft of climbing time?
