We used to do a similar thing with the tops of soda cans... you say the alphabet while twisting it back and forth until it comes off. Then you can flip it like a coin and if it's "heads", it s the first letter of the man/woman you'll marry or "tails" then its the last name. Sometimes I still think about the saying "Step on a crack break your mothers back, step on a line break your father's spine". I was a good little girl so I always made sure not to step on the cracks or lines
