Move, or make sure I had a job that pulled in at least 150 large. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?

But we already have too many MBAs in the world. What we need are people that can actually DO something useful. Amen! Not to denigrate the accomplishment, it is surely a feather in your cap; the only thing I ask is that you learn to keep you focus no matter what your business. Too many businesses are being dumbed down and ruined by MBA-itis, to me there is nothing worse than someone in say, the restaurant business who refers to the food being served as "product" and the diners as "endusers" or "consumers". MBA-speak is draining the soul from too many businesses. Just take a look at what became of GM when the car guys were superseded by marketeers from P&G; it is taking them years to get back to making real cars, and they have a long way to go, even with a real car guy like Bob Lutz steering. So congratulations on being accepted into Kellog, that is quite a feat. Just remember to temper everything with an eye to real passion. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. In reverse order, I can wait for both you and Val. Like I said earlier, I have an ace up my sleeve, but don't want to overburden him. As of today, I have $220, with at least 5 checks in the mail; I am trying to rise enough to cover the tent ($495) and the couches (figuring $100-150). If you sent a check and are wondering about its status, the only ones I've received as of today are two from Sunshine and one from PLFking. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Paging evil plan clones... Paging evil plan clones. (so this is just a shameless bump -- kick in or I'll start another thread!) Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?

Our first jump at Jacksonville ExtremeSports -- seeing the city of Jacksonville on the ride to altitude, the view of all seven bridges and then the spectaular view in freefall, including the RV park where we live, only 12 miles from the DZ. OK, I'll get with the WFFC folk and let them know our druthers. BTW, Thanks a shirtload to PLFKing for his contribution. A few more like that and I can quit badgering people! Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?

I'm sorry, but Pringles are NOT chips (and the Pringles people will gladly tell you so). They are processed, formed, somewhat chip-like pale imitations of the real thing. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?

Bill, it depends on how much and for what purpose you use the facilities in the RV. 30 gallons of water is enough if you do minimal cooking/washing/toilet use. We can carry 70 gallons and our holding tanks will take 40 gallons each, but with a full hookup, you have better water pressure and are hooked up top drainage, this means we can take care of all the S functions without using the poratpots (which are located elsewhere anyhow). As for electrical supply, you certainly can run a genset and supplement it with a solar panel and it may be sufficient if you do not spend a lot of time in the unit during the day. If you run the AC in a high heat/humidity, you will either need to be plugged into shore power or have the genset run all the time. Many camping locations have rules about not running gensets after a certain time, they are nosiy, smelly and bothersome to those surrounding you. (If you are in a gas-powered motorhome, the genset is usually located directly beneath the master bed - quite irksome.) Bottom line, you CAN get by without using a full campsite hookup if it suits your needs, but if you want to have a cool, quiet place to retreat during the day or have a pet along, you can't beat the convenience of a full hookup. You can see all the games you want, just watch Univision! Not only are the matches covered commercial free, you get to listen to the world's greatest futbol announcer, Andres Cantor. So what if you no habla Espanol? If you know and like soccer, you'll have no problem following Sr. Cantor's descriptions. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. I'm just glad you learned the hard lesson in a relatively cheap manner. Like someone posted on another thread, I'd rather read your embarassed description than than wonder with the others "Why the hell didn't Ray cut away?". Yep, graying, aging hippy ponytail and handlebar mustache. That's me, alright. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?

The tent has already been reserved; and I have my own reservations about such a placement. What is everyone's opinion? Should I ask that we be placed next to the Rodriguez Brothers tent? Would you prefer to be in the middle of DZ row? At one end? Which end? Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?

Mine is simply a line drawing of me done by a coworker several years ago. Really not a bad job, seeing as it was done freehand using a mouse in MSPaint. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?

Killing two stones with one bird here: 1) bump htis beg and badger thread up 2) minor league post-whoring as I approach the next threshold. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?

You seem confused, young Grasshooper! Members need not be online to be sent a PM, next time they log on it will be there waiting. Methinks you have PM and IM confused -- they are muchly different animules. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?

Made jump 666 yesterday:2:0 JAX ExtremeSports moved the office/manifest over by the main part of the airport. Makes plane boarding much simpler, packing tent will be brought over this week. Just gotta work on that parking thing, though the airport manager is very helpful. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Clay, that's fine. It's not that were that short on time, I just don't want to have this hanging for a long time. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?

I dunno....I kinda hope you do make a profit here....I suspect you came up a bit short last year. Let's see...last year...$495 for the tent +55 for the love seat is $550 if I can add. I got 5 jump tix @$18 for $80, plus $88 or $98 in cash. Yeah, I came up just a bit short, but I am not complaining. I stated last year that I wouldn't badger people nor beg, as I would right the balance off; this year I don't have that option, so I will badger and beg. I will keep bumping this thread up and/or starting new threads until I feel the matter is well in hand. I have an ace up my sleeve this year, so I am not worried, but I don't want to fleece him, either. Those of you who have donated so far, thank you very much. I will give a total as soon as the checks that are in the mail have been received, but things are looking good. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?

Not a bad idea at all. Now if I was only using my own money for my own purposes that would work, but seeing as I am only seeking donations to reduce my expense; it seems unethical to try to make a profit from this endeavor. Maybe next time. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?

the mod is only for the safire 1's. the 2's don't need it. later Nor do original Safires that have been relined to Rev 2 trim. I suspected as much and compared notes with Derek and he agreed that although there was a slight difference between his mod and the trim revision 2, it would be scarcely noticeable. That 2.5% is only on credit card transactions, it's less than I would have to pay with a standard merchant account (3-3.75%). so I figured that it it makes it easier all around... Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?
