OK, folk, it's been over 14 hours and no response? Guess I won't have to worry about getting a tent for next year if THIS is all the interest generated. Is this her? By the hand gesture she is giving, she must know people in the skydiving community. Answer to both statements -- Yes, it is wrong -- she's only 15 (see Forum Rule #1) and she's from Hawaii, hence the hand gesture. But she is a very mature 15. That's odd -- I got the email from Amazon stating that it was sent via USPS today and that I'd get it on the 19th as I did not pay for Saturday delivery. Went to the mail this evening as usual ... Why do people keep perpetuating this myth? I have big risers and have absolutely no problem bringing my slider (Safire in a Mirage) down and stowing it behind my head. All you need are the proper size grommets on the slider and then riser size makes no difference. Edited to add: Come to think of it, I had no problem doing it with either my Spectre or my Triathlon in my Dolphin before either. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. I know it's been almost a year, but I'd like to think I'd have noticed a gnome infestation. Is this a new trend, or am I blocking things again? Seems to me you did a fine job of answering your own question. The only advice I gave my wife that I expected her to listen to and heed was "Don't let anyone, even me, pressure you into making a jump you don't want to make." I do believe this can be expanded to include anything related to jumping, including equipment choices. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. The way it looked may have been deceiving; Daytona Intl Airport is directly behind the "superstretch" (backstretch for everyone else) of Daytona Intl Speedway. Any plane there is flying under direct control/observation by the tower; if minimums could not be met, you can be sure that this is one demo that would not have been allowed. I agree, I thought it sucked for the guy not to be able to land on his feet with the flag, but given the extreme slipperyness of that grass and the drag that huge flag gave I thought he did a fine job. I don't think it's necessarily WS flying -- I had a CYPRES battery that failed powerup check after just one year also, about 115 jumps or so. I just chalked it up to "shit happens".
