Just calling BS on the claim that federal employees are overpaid compared to their private sector counterparts. As a taxpayer, I don't begrudge them their scheduled pay increases. Spent any time at the post office lately? In my area and in my experience, postal employees retire at a higher level than most middle-class workers. It depends on how you define crazy. Crazy is not synonymous with mentally ill. I am assuming you are thinking it is. President Trump is a different type of personality and intellect not normally seen in American politics. That is why he was elected. About half the people in the U.S. are sick, tired and angry with politics as usual. The best thing that can happen for America is to let President Trump and his administration run out two terms and make the drastic changes this country needs. After 2024 the liberals can come in and make some adjustments. If they are as intelligent as they claim to be, they will tweak the successful policies and make improvements. Since this came up I have been pondering the concept. There are two, for the purpose of this discussion, aspects of Christianity. One is salvation and the other is spiritual enlightenment. Salvation is basically linear. If I accept Jesus's atoning death on the cross as The Son of God and His resurrection then I am saved. Then I receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to guide me in sanctification. Spiritual enlightenment is non-linear. It is the development of sanctification on the path of eternal life. The Holy Spirit is constantly enhancing individual spirit and soul in sanctification. It is dynamic creating the wonders of God as the attachment to the world is forsaken. You may not be aware but, the phrase "Christian in name only" has no meaning to Christians. Being a Christian is a choice. There are many steps on the path of sanctification. We are accepted through the atoning blood of Jesus the Christ on the cross not punished for our shortcomings. We do reap what we sow just like everyone. Therefore, there are all sorts of Christians. We are all pilgrims doing what we know to do, hoping we get it right when we don't know, and repent when we knowingly do wrong.
