  1. This is nonsense. The amount of consideration Putin has given to the person sitting in the Oval on this is nil. He pretty much knows that whoever sits in the chair on a particular day isn't going to go to war over this. How do I know? Because of history. You are aware neither exists anymore; right? FYI: http://www.nationaljournal.com/white-house/why-putin-plays-our-presidents-for-fools-20140302 Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. 2. No I cannot. I do not believe BHO has any awareness of a soul other than his own. He is a narcissist. Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. They only last for an instant but it is a Holy Instant. Let your soul absorb them.

  4. It is in the realm of possibility to surmise that if Mitt Romney had been elected we would not be facing this dilemma. BHO revealed himself to be a wuss a long time ago. Thus V. Putin calculated his strategy for a time such as this. It is KGB mentality versus ACORN mentality. Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. 6. That is a ridiculous statement. Ron, based on your writings here, the conclusion that you meant "whites only" is one that makes perfect sense. Hypocrites HATE being called out for their hypocrisy. Speaking of hypocrites, have you stopped taking Social Security payments and stopped using Medicare services yet? You have written plenty here about your supposed hatred of Socialism, while at the same time you partake of the benefits of the most Socialistic programs administered by the US Government. If you had one iota of integrity, you would back up your professed hatred of Socialism by declining to partake in the benefits of the programs. When do you plan to stop taking the benefits, Ron? If you are going to keep taking the benefits, how about a smidgen of honesty? You could write something along the lines of "I really, really hate Socialism, except when I personally benefit from it. The programs that help me have been helpful to many deserving people. When it helps people that I don't like, then I am opposed to it." That would be somewhat honest. What is it going to be, Ron? Utter hypocrisy, or a slight bit of honesty? I pray that you find peace through meaningful purpose. Jesus Christ is your answer. May you find Him soon. In other words, you will continue your hypocrisy without feeling any shame or guilt. That religious bullshit sure screws up one's ability to tell right from wrong. I sure wish I could be there when you meet your maker and are called to account for your behavior. I am sure that it will be VERY interesting. I wish you could be there as well. Accept Jesus Christ into your heart and life, ask for forgiveness for your sins and you will be there. PS. I have no guilt or shame for my relationship with the federal government. If you worked a regular job you would have paid benefits as I do. Freeloading is not honorable. Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. 16. Right. To get outside of what you know or are willing to learn. You need objectivity and open mindedness. To break past what you know, or more importantly, think you know, you have to be willing to admit that you don't know everything and that what you do know is wrong. That open mindedness (along with willingness) is the key to expanding knowledge. OK, we are on the same page. Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. 17. That is interesting but, it has nothing to do with my post to wmw999. I'll pose the same question to your. How do you break through your sphere of consciousness? To refresh, your sphere is everything you know or know about. The unknown is everything outside of your bubble of awareness. Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. 19. And off in tangent-land, one of the things I find interesting is people who define those boxes very tightly (e.g. Amish, orthodox of some religions, nuns/monks, etc), with lots and lots of rules regulating the earthly existence. It makes the inside box (which is where you live daily) much smaller. The restrictions, according to some, remind you daily of following the Lord. But either way, it's a way of changing the size of the world downwards. As someone who's always looking for a bigger world (it's my nature), I find that fascinating, because it's entirely possible, and just as worthwhile, to study subjects down to the detail, rather than always scanning them for major patterns. Wendy P. When I read your first paragraph I immediately thought of engineers and attorneys, not that there is anything wrong with that. Your second paragraph sparked a question. When seeking a bigger world, how do you break the boundary of your sphere of consciousness? Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. 20. I think virtually all "personality tests" and self categorizations create self-fulfilling prophesies tending to create more problems than solutions. Once you've put yourself in a box, you've given others permission to keep you there. Right about now Ron is probably asking a question like, "What could possibly be wrong with putting yourself into the boxes marked; Christian, Pioneer, Leader?" Well, the fact is, even if a person believes they are, they probably aren't and then there is a conflict between the reality and false vision they have of themselves. Everyone puts themselves in a box. Actually, it is a self defined sphere of consciousness. We all know what is on the inside of the sphere. The question, for me anyway, is, what is on the outside of the sphere? Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. They only last for an instant but it is a Holy Instant. 21. I think that he got it just about right. There seems to be confusion in the posts that follow your OP between race and nationality. I have noticed that discrepancy often in the SC. The exception noted in a post above is found in discussion of Jews and Israel. It is my understanding they cannot be separated. Jew is a race and a religion and they all identify with Israel. Winsor has made some very good arguments here in the SC regarding Judaism and the belief in God. Suffice to say, we are human, we criticize everything, legal or not. Political correctness is a farce. 22. Good question Ron, me? Pioneer spirit and leader and quite frankly its very hard to live a life that is true to those qualities in todays's age in a modern western nation or in a corporate environment. You're either born with the spirit of a pioneer or you aren't, leaders on the either hand are made. That said some are better leaders than others with the same training. Mostly people today confuse being a manager with being a leader, I hear it all the time, people on management teams being described as leaders. Often they couldn't even get their own families to follow them let alone any one else. My pastor was making the same connection as you. That is to say, pioneers tend to be leaders. I do not believe that is necessarily true. Furthermore, I do not believe that settlers tend to make good managers. I posted the question here to see the reaction. I have always associated good leadership with good subservience. In other words, a good leader also knows when to follow and do their best in that capacity. In my life, what I consider good or at least adequate leadership was not when I felt like a pioneer. The exception was becoming a freefall sport parachutist during my military service. I was not in an airborne unit and the Air Force did not consider the sport of any value at the time. At any rate, I agree with you. Pioneering is difficult in modern western society. 23. I do not understand what you are saying. Sorry Ron, it sounded clear in my head. What I means is that both pioneers and settlers 'often tend' to trump the rights of the folks that were already living there. (Since the very first migration, it has happened in many/all places in the world). So maybe your poll should have another option. Aren't you British? You are coming across as Native American. That is what is confusing me. I was referring to motivating spirit not behavior consequence. Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. 25. I think most people in America have become settlers. This spirit is reflected in our political environment. Liberals are gaining over Libertarians because they want the government to meet their needs. They have lost the need for a relationship with their Creator. These folks cannot survive well unless they have concrete and pavement under their feet. Felix Baumgartner, IMO, is the last of the sport parachuting pioneers. His act is going to be hard to surpass. When I starting parachuting the sport was young and we really did not know how the human physiology would react to long periods of freefall. We expected equipment malfunctions. We feared red outs and the dreaded flat spin. We needed to learn about every aspect of our gear. I have never been satisfied where I was. I always wanted to experience something new. I have never been strongly motivated by money. I enjoy the fringe area of wherever I am. I believe our society and country is in deep trouble.
