He starts off as a typical "Not Professional Politician" and does about as well as they usually do. But he's a damned good salesman (not businessman, salesman) and he realizes exactly what that type of person wants to hear. So he says "Mexicans are Rapists", "No more Muslim Immigrants", "Build a Wall & Make Mexico Pay for It", and the most ridiculous, "Make America Great Again" (making America great is ridiculous, it's just that he says this and nothing else about what will be changed or how).
