Well.... it's going to be a bunch of people showing up on that Friday. We are starting to get a few pre-registrations this week. We are expecting 40-80 jumpers. It's hard to say right now. Last minute decision is what's going to happen. It really doesn't matter what plane shows up, the people and the scenery are what's going to make this boogie!! Skydive Moab will be holding it's 1st annual M.O.A.B. Boogie!! Mother Of All Boogies!!! Where: Moab Airport Date: October 1-3, 2004 We will be flying Skydive Arizona's King Air A100 (or their Super Otter if enough people pre-register). They will be bringing one of their own organizers, TJ Langren from the AZ Training Center. He'll be organizing all kinds of cool skydives and offering Coach jumps during the boogie. Birdman organizing by Jay Epstein of Adrenaline Exploits! Come fly your birdman suit up and down the canyons. Sunset Cross Country Hop N Pops from 12,500. A full load (16 or 22) opening up a few miles up the canyon at sunset. We'll fly and jump over the most amazing rocks and canyons! You'll jump over the Colorado or Green river. The sheer cliffs are 300-500' tall and you add on the talus and your flying around 1000'+ walls surrounding you. Think about flying your canopy downtown in a big city, it's kind of like that but a little different. These will be the most amazing jumps you'll do until next year when you come back. Field elevation at the airport is 4550'. Come get your high altitude swoop on! For experienced canopy pilots, you can fly right beside a BASE jumper as he is running off the cliff. You won't ever get a chance to do this anywhere else besides Norway. Average high temp for the beginning of October is 83F. Avg low is 45F. Perfect for camping! Moab averages 360 days of sunshine and about 5% humidity. There will be plenty of GO FAST Energy Drinks for the event!! Registration is only $25 if you register by Sept. 17th; it's $35 after that date. Jumps will only be $21 or 10 for $200(subject to change without notice). Bring your Cameras!! We'll have a camera set up to fire-wire all of your cool video shots. We WILL be making a video of the boogie and we'd love to use your video! I operate a skydiving operation out of Moab, Ut. Our elevation at the airport is 4500'. I am thinking of leasing a 206. The heat in Moab in the summer is very hot, average is 95F for June, July, August. My question is, do I want a turbo-charged or just a regular 206. We climb to 9000' for tandems and 10 500 for AFF students. WHat plane would it be harder on? THe people at the airport say it would be harder on the Turbocharged. They would rather fly the non TC plane. Other skydiving operations use a TC 206 because it can climb at the same rate all the way up? ANy info would be great! I am looking for a 206 for lease ASAP! Need it by April 11th or so. Thanks for your help. Clint

I have no idea on that one. Maybe the noise thing but it's still BS. My friend is writting a letter to a Senator and hopefully some action will be resolved. I use POD---alive for freefall and I use Pearl Jam's -- alive for the ending. Some South African trance for the beginning. Creed---higher is a great song for FF. For older people, you can use JUMP by Van Halen. ALso for older people, The Who--I can see for miles. Lots of other stuff, just can't think of any right now!
