  1. The designer that put a 'destroy everything' button next to a door open button needs a slap.
  2. Precisely. He can't be seen to apologize for something that supposedly never happened. For better or worse he's got to double down on that statement.
  3. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-42677604 whoops. Fuck receiving that as a wake-up text!
  4. I think untempered vision is pretty dangerous. Understanding of how and why things currently work the way they do is an important trait to me in a leader. That way they don't inadvertently destroy important stuff (like the planet) by blindly charging towards how THEY naively think things should be. What sounds good in your head and what resonates with people ('wouldn't it be nice if...') isn't always the best idea in the real world.
  5. She is qualified, and so are many other people. We need to stop limiting our choices to career politicians. Political experience is a bonus to someone aspiring to a position in politics... Some awareness of international diplomacy and wold affairs would be good too. Maybe it's just me but 'would probably listen to advisors' on its own just isn't enough of a qualification for a presidential candidate for me. That I even have to say that is a damning condemnation of the state of todays current field.
  6. I agree 1000%. The problem with Trump winning last November is that suddenly everyone thinks they're qualified to be Commander in Chief. That they'd be slightly better than the current imbecile isn't really an endorsement - he sets the bar pretty low. IMO Oprah is in absolutely no way qualified for the position and would likely be as much a disaster as Trump is. I won't vote for her.
  7. Yeah? Do you see any similarities between your HUNDREDS of posts parroting Fox and Brietbart and this situation? Pot? Meet kettle. Did you see his comments on his interview this morning? Remember, he claimed unfettered access in the white house. Yet today he admits he didn't talk to the vice president, or anybody on the staff. The story falls apart just like you and everybody else knew it would. It has nothing to do with the comments in your post. It only has to do with a bunch of scurrilous lies that you guys all want to believe. Funny in a sad sort of way You didn't answer my question. As usual. You have continually quoted from Fox and Breitbart verbatim. You're the last person who should be making comments about quoting bullshit news sources as I've lost count of the number of times you've been PROVEN wrong. I haven't read the book and probably won't. I don't need someone else to tell me that the President is an incompetent nutjob - it's perfectly obvious. What IS funny in a sad sort of way is how deeply invested you are in defending him. I've never seen you make a single negative comment about him, his cronies or the current government which makes you nothing more than a mouthpiece. You have no capability for independent thought and are perfectly happy repeating the denial of the day. #Sad!

  9. Why do you post lies? There has, to date, been no evidence of Russia changing the outcome of the election. None. Period. Marc, I come after you with a gun with the full intention of murdering you. I take a shot at you but miss. I probably shouldn't be charged with anything, right? Or investigated? After all, I didn't actually change you from being alive to dead. Do you not get that the outcome has no bearing on whether the action itself was illegal?
  10. Where do you get that? Where, anywhere, just once in this thread do you see someone saying something like 'you know what? I actually quite like Bannon now...'? Why is your response to anything always some personal interpretation? It doesn't work as an argument. Personally, I can't stand Steve Bannon and wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire, but I can look at the shitshow he's causing and get a good laugh out of it - how I feel about the guy and how I feel about the situation are two entirely unrelated things.
  11. Not convinced by the 'let the inexperienced passenger pick their own gear' decision of the team, but yeah. It all sounds like a fucking nightmare.
  12. Not knowing what software they're using you're making a big assumption there. There are definitely some accounting programs (I'm thinking SAGE) where crediting refunds (particularly if it's after a monthly reporting cycle) is a real pain in the arse and can play havoc with the reporting of a P&L. It's possible some DZ software is similar. Regarding the jump ticket refund I think it's simple to use the airline ticket model - at least that's the way I'd do it: Full price tickets should be refunded at will upto a certain expiry date (several years). Block tickets which include a discount are refundable at the discounted rate, less a small administrative fee. Special-rate / holiday tickets are non-refundable as the income may be needed against special aircraft or entertainment for that event. Money on account should be transferable, less any bank fees that may apply. I'm not sure if VISA, for example, would charge the DZ for issuing refunds the way they charge for small purchases. It's not fair that a DZ should suck up those costs.
  13. Happy new year! http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-42544599 If there's someone in your household who you know to be mentally challenged, particularly with social disorders, maybe it's a good idea not to keep guns around the house? Seems like a pretty obvious risk factor to me.
  14. This is a shitty practice in my opinion. You KNOW that a typical tandem anywhere in the country if from 10k - 12k, and that you're offering a sub-standard service. This is the kind of thing I'd expect from Skyride.
  15. I think the current Republian party is so far to the right that anyone who isn't wholly vested in either the 'us vs them (at any cost)' philosophy simply can't defend what's happening at the moment. Somehow we've gone beyond politics and economics into basic human decency. Fuck me, if we don't have that first then we're never going to be able to put a decent government together. That's why I'm so excited about the Alabama result. I've said before - in some areas like immigration and gun legislation I'm more to the right than to the left, but the current cockwomble-in-chief and his bootlickers are SO far to the right that I have no choice but to appear to be the liberal democrat.

Uh, you want to start naming Democrats with similar pasts? I don't think they should be in office if that's the case. You see, I try to think about if someone is a good human being BEFORE judging if they can help me or not. You're putting partisam politics ahead of decency and morals. SUPER Christian of you. Jesus would be proud.

The Statute of limitations has nothing to do with it. I'm not suggesting that he should go to jail or be charged. I'm suggesting that it's fucking disgusting that people would think that someone who would do this is suitable for the US Senate, just because 'he's on my team'. If you really think that, Ron, you're a disgrace.

The definitions and meanings of words change constantly as the use of them alters. While the official psychiatric definition may refer to prepubescence, I suspect the common usage of the word (that used by people in everyday speech) would be referring to sexual conduct with someone who is legally a child. 'Myriad' used to mean 'exactly 10,000' of something, it is now used to mean 'lots'... To say Moore isn't an accused paedophile is correct in the specific and narrow definition you've selected. In the real world it's bullshit.
  19. You keep saying this and you sound really, really stupid because of it. Just say 'the election result' THAT'S correct and gets your point across. When you try to say 'the people's vote' you're demonstrably wrong. More people voted for Clinton - or do you still not get that?
  20. My schlong would have been a better choice for the world. It would have passed the same amount of legislation, offended fewer people and would never have been accused of sexual assault. The bar isn't exactly sky high.
  21. Examples? Or is everything bad now an "Obama trick"? I hear homosexuality is Obama's fault.
  22. Huge props to Bradford. He handled that with class. I love the body language of everyone else in the room.

But they would have to be directed to do that (even if it's clandestinely) by the president, and this egomanaical preschooler isn't about to do that because it would be a tacit admission that he isn't 'the best' (TM) and 'favorite not-Hillary' president ever. The longer this shit goes on and the more we see of it, the more I'm convinced that we're just fucked until the next election. There will always be a willing fall-guy who volunteers to take a bullet for whatever idiocy of the moment the president begins, and I'm still not convinced that a republican government would actually impeach Trump even if there was incontrovertible proof of the most heinous crimes. I suspect they'll all rally around the shitshow until 2020 when hopefully they desert him en mass and get behind either Romney or Comey.
  24. It's basic economics. You can sell to many with a small profit margin, or to few with a large one and remain profitable. How many motorcyclists do you think there are? How many skydivers? The cost of developing, testing, marketing and producing a product divided by 100,000,000 is a lot smaller than by 10,000.
