    I totally agree. I am a single mother with two children and I want to start BASE jumping in the future. However, I don't think that makes me a selfish or a bad mother. I feel that I am teaching my children that just because you have kids that does not mean that you have to give up your dreams. I would never want my children to stop something because of what others will think of them. You do what is in your heart to do. I do have to say that I do always put my children first and always will, but that does not mean I can't start BASE jumping.

    Well when you get out to AZ you can some and meet me. I only ask for respect and faithfulness and to go and BASE and skydive with me. The only thing I got from my exhusband is the kids and right now I have his car, but only because he is letting me use it while he is in Iraq to take care of our kids. Not because I was vendictive or a gold digger...like anyone who marries someone in the army is a gold digger, if so where were their ex's stealing from and getting away with it???? Kathryn

    I will get the article from my dad tonight or if he happens to call. He saved it on his computer so my mom has no complaints when hey pays an arm and a leg for Guiness instead of whatever is on sale. I think it is on his Adobe because he scanned it from a paper in Ireland, but maybe if I search for it on the net I cn find it. I have nothing else better to do... Kathryn

    Like I said Guiness is the healthiest. I know my dad has that article saved on his computer somewhere. When he gets home I will ask him and will post it here.

    Micholobe Ultra has low carbs. So I guess that is the lightest way to go. However, seriously, Guiness is the healthiest. Seriously they really do prescrib one pint to pregnant women in Ireland instead of prenatel vitamins. Also, I had my son in Germany and the day he was born my milk had still not come in and the nurses there gave him a bottle of beer. Not a whole lot but they said he needed the protien. Or maybe they were just peparring him for all the beer fests they have. I kid you not there was a holiday every week and every week they set up the tent for the beer garden in out town to fest for something... Kathryn

    I do have to agree here. I love Mike's King Air. I think I just like the way he stands you up at exit time. However, I like the Otter at Eloy too...but I hate the smell the people create in them...I have yet to jump out of the Skyvan, but will on AZ Days. The Porter I hate, too small and too slow...However I do think it is kewl to see the Porter outside the Otter's window on the way up, he always does some stupid trick to show off... Kathryn

    Sit flying takes time. I found that out after many paid coach jumps and lots of jumps on my own that it was only when I wasn't trying to sit that I actually was stable. Sometimes frustration makes freeflying very difficult which in turn makes us more fustrated...Just Relax and have fun and do still talk to a coach because that helps the most.

    I agree. I for one have only done freeflying since getting off of student status. Even my jumps after my levels were all geared toward freefly. I did tracking dives and a lot of flying on my back. But just because I have x number of jumps does not make me good at RW. I don't know anything about RW. The only time I am on my belly is at pull time...lol. Any ways, I am looking forward to learning RW and becoming a well rounded skydiver. I do believe that the ones with the most skills are the ones with a lot of jumps doing all asspects of this sport. Meaning jumper A has 1000 jumps freeflying, jumper B has 1000 jumps RW, jumper C has 1000 jumps both RW and freeflying combined. Who would have better skills. I think jumper C because he/she would have experiance in both and experiance in both compliments one an other. I for one am thinking of learning RW to better my freeflying skills.

    Well I speak English everyday. I took some Spanish and some French in high school. I lived in Germany for a year and learned as much as I could and in college I took Latin, because I was pre-med. I just took my MCATS on the 16th, hopefully I did well...need scholorship.

Yeah thanks, but I just thought that Gollum was a good pic because of our lovefor the movie.. no it was a good pic because the only one of us is too big to post and that one was small...no no no...lol..jk Kathryn, Stacy, Kim, and everyone else...

    I second that, also I do believe toe hair is gross too. An exbf of mine (not the last one) had hair on his big toe and one night while he was asleep I waxed it. Needless to say he was asleep no more and pretty pissed off...thus he is my ex..

    Me too. I wouldn't mind being talked to infornt of others, just for others input on the situation. However I too get super defensive and I probably would have been yelling back or worse. It would make great DZ Soap Opera though.

    I snuck my brother in for his first two tandems when he was 17, does that count? Now he is 18 and has stopped skydiving for right now, but I will corrupt him yet...lol... Kathryn

    Awesome.. congrats to you. I will be picking up my overdue first rig from my rigger on the first. I am a single mother so I bought all of my gear piece by piece and all used (except my helmet alt and freefly pants) but good gear. My rig needed some updateing to be freefly friendly and a trip to the spa, but it is all done and I can't wait to jump it. I envy that you have yours allready. Be safe and have fun... Kathryn
