If you were electrocuted, you would currently be dead. You were shocked. Glad you're OK. That must have been a blast. Did you lose consciousness? Do you any permanent marks from it? So have either one of you been on an electric star? I just heard about those over the past weekend, and that the Knights love to do them when they get someone new on the team...

The only time I really thought I was almot killed was after a jump I made back when I was a baby with someone that had well over 500 jumps. He didn't tell me he didn't have his altimeter or his dytter. We jumped out and he fell in his sit a lot faster than me and the only way at that time I knew to get down to him was to track down and he thought I was tracking away because it was break off time. He then dumped right under me, and as soon as I saw him pitch his pilot cute I tracked as hard and as fast as I could. I fell past him and his open canopy, (he got it on video and some pretty cool still shots of it). I know better now and all, but he really should have known better. That was the only time I ever felt like I was close to death. Edited to add: oh yeah I forgot that I had ODed on coke in high school..I guess I could have died then....

Jump my ass off

Well not all woemn like to shop. I for one hate shopping. I guess mostly because I hate being around so many stupid people. Esp. during Chirstmas time. I refuse to go to any store, esp the grocery store. Just thought I would add that I would much rather be drining beer and watching a game, then shopping. Of course what I would rather be doing at all times is jumping or sex...sex is good too... Kathryn

Congrats! As long as you are happy with yourself that is. I know too many people that lose weight for the wrong reasons. Girls more so then men. I don't want to lose wieght I want to tone up more, which in reality I probably will gain muscle, causeing me to gain wieght, but I will be firmer and that will please me.

Well my two biggest accomplishements are my children... but things that no one here knows about me, well I was the only girl on my high school basketball team to slam dunk. I was a cheerleader all through school. I also did ballet since I was four and danced with the Kirov Acadm. I also did ballroom dancing since I was 7. After I developed tendenitius in my knees I had to stop dancing. I also was a coke and herion addict in high school and after my overdose I quit cold turkey, it was a rough year after that. I watched my friend commet suicide right in front of me and it took me a long time to get over the fact that I had no control over her actions. I think that everything I do is some kind of accomplishment because without it I would not be the person I am today and I love who I am.

I beleive in my Sabre and if it goes to shit I trust in my PD126 and if they both go to shit, then I beleive that gravity will kick in and I will soon be one with the ground....meant as a joke btw well sort of...

Oh my gosh, I know that I am going to be getting into all kinds of trouble this Christmas... I better not waste the time in writting a letter to Santa this year...well at least I know that my New Years Resolution will be to find all of Duece's videos he makes and distributes of this years boogie and destroy them all...

Well I only have 84 jumps as of today, so my opion might not count as anything, but how could they possiablly regulate this fairly. Everyone is different and has different skills. I know what I can handle and what I can not. I do listen to advice from those that actually take the time to jump with me and watch me land. If you have never seen me jump or land, how can you possiably know what canopy I should be under. You have no clue what my skills are. However at the same time I do know that some people just do not listen and do not care what others think. It is really up to yourself to keep yourself from getting hurt or worse. I hate to say this, but only you are in control of your life. Forgive me, I am not trying to offend anyone or piss people off, but just think about it, when you have a malfunction, let's say your brake line breaks, some will chop some will rear riser it. Only you know what is right at that time right? Now who is to really say that the deaths of those under perfectly good canopies are really because they shouldn't have been that small or whatever. They chose to turn that low for whatever reason. Only they know what really happend and what was going through their heads. And yes it is sad and I am trully sorry for everyone's loss. You can speculate all you want, but really you can not change what they chose to do. I know it sounds harsh, but it is true. You can not possiablly know why. The only time you can know why is if the gear is messed up and even still why didn't they chop...probably cause they thought they could land it. or they just didn't have the reaction time they should have or whatever. All you know is what you would have done. Now think about a time when you were hurt for whatever reason, you sat down and thought about what happend and what you should have done and what you are going to do about it. You learned from your mistake. They just don't get that chance to learn from their mistake. We can try and learn from their mistakes but only to the point of what we feel comferitable doing ourselves. Like I know that if I had a brake line break I would chop it right now, because I know that I can land my reserve safer than my main, as long as I have no malfunction on my reserve. I do however practice flareing up high with my rear risers and maybe someday I will feel comferitable in doing so. I know I am talking too much, the point is only you know what you can handle and what you think about on your dives and landings.
