I agree...WTF? I mean really, my father is a retired SEAL and his first tour was Vietnam and his last was Desert Storm. I do know he is not allowed to talk about anything, but I know that my dad did a lot more heroic things than getting captured and such. Actually my father says that the thrue heros are those that know what they have done and don't brag about it at VA balls and such. My father hates those old war vets that do nothing but sit around and brag about who had the worst time at their war and who lost the most and did the most. If they really saw and did all they say then they wouldn't have the heart to talk about it, nor would they want to...well that is my father's opinions on the subject that is, but his opinion is also that Jessica Lynch should have a book, but not of her heroic efforts, but more of a Playboy type book, I am sure Ivan wants that too... I tend to agree with my father that she really isn't much of anyhting, but American's are Socially critical and they want everyone to preseve them as being perfect...that is a whole other subject nevermind...

Ask Airspeed, they were jumping them a bit.... I saw them and they look pretty cool, but I am no expert swooper watcher...lol... I am sure if you took the time to email them they will take the time when and if they can to tell ya what it was like, but they are sponsered by PD...

All I have to say is... I wish I had enough money to make 500 jumps in 24 hours! I doubt I would be able to make even 25 in one day, but to have enough $$$$$ to jump 500 in 24 hours would be awesome. I would be sure to spread the wealth too.

Speaking of Bridge Day, last night I was watching Channel 3 News out of Phoenix and they were showing their piece on Bridge day. By the way the video they showed was awesome, but guess how many skydives the reporter said that you have to have before they were to allow you to jump off the bridge?

Well I didn't get to make my 100th jump but I did get to make 3. One hop n pop with a great accuracy landing on Saturday. Then on Sunday the winds were gusting up to 28mph, but I still went to jump twice, had some great landings on both jumps, but the last jump the wind gusted up and knocked me over so I chopped my main so I wouldn't get dragged through the desert. (and I do not have a RSL or those of you flamers) However, I wa glad I chopped my main, not only to not get dragged, but also I learned why my canopy flies slightly to the right. It was hooked up wrong to my risers, yeah I know better now, but I really did just think that my lines were just old, since it is a used canopy I bought. Any ways, I found out that the lines were not set right and so they were fixed, and now I know better than to just assume that because I had a rigger look it over that doesn't mean that it is perfect to jump, next time I will double check it. I did not get my 100th jump in this weekend, but maybe next weekend. However, I did have an awesome time.

I can see this as a good tool, if your kid is missing or kidnapped. However, I do see the point of why should we need this? How about we force everyone that is pregnant including the father to take parenting classes before they are allowed to take the kid home from the hospital. Then maybe there wont be so many parents with way ward teens. However, I do remember what it was like as a teen and I knew everything and I did what I wanted to no matter what my parents taught me, so I guess that wont work either. The chip is a bad thing because people need to learn frm their own mistakes. How can someone learn anything if they are forced to do something. Plus how can teenagers find themselves if they are just like everyone else.

When I work manifest at Coolidge I do count all parachutes and then watch them all land.

Well just tell him not to do it skydiving or BASE jumping because we don't need the intentional hurters messing up our sport. It is bad enough that people get hurt on accicdent under good canopys. So tell him to get into a car reck, by his self, like play chicken with a tree.

Right now my most fav. is the last one I just did on Monday. A 11 way hybrid with Omar and Jeffro. I liked my night jumps too, but the hybrid was the best. However, I do hope that my soon to come 100th jump is going to be better. Not sure what I want to do, or if I want to even tell anyone on that load it is my 100th, because I do not want to be pied or hear all that talk about it is sppose to be a naked jump and blah blah blah...

Maybe you two should move to AZ. I never really have to worry about any of that, if it does happen to rain it will only last a few mins and the cloud coverage wont last that long either. The only thing you have to worry about here is dust devils and turbulance, but really that doesn't last long either. However, since there is lots of loads everyday then you will have to worry about the whole money thing.

I jump every weekend and during the week I take care of my children. On the weekends my parents have my kids so I can still be a kid and jump and work, and occasionally vist other DZs to jump and be a kid.

I am not sure, but I think it would be hard for me not to tell people at work that I jump, since I am working at a DZ. It would be too hard not to...lol

Ok, You must sound like Vin Diesel too... and be able to give good massages... oh yeah and help around the house. I don't mind cooking and vacuming and doing the laudry and cleaning the bathrooms, but you got to do the dishes mow the lawn and take out the trash and do all house repairs and if you can not do the house repairs at least be man enough to admit you need to hire someone to do it, instead of trying it out and then messing it up even worse than before.
