Well, as an inexperienced jumper I am here on dz.com to soak it all up. I want to learn what makes the skydiving world tick and how I can keep myself and more importantly others safe when I am in the air. That is my #1 goal to be safe and have fun. I want to jump my little butt off and do it for a long time. I frequent all of the forums to see what wisdom people have passed on. I do not take this information at face value, I always check with other experienced jumpers to see what they have to say about the info. presented. I am of the mindset that if you are open to learning and never stop, you will excel in whatever you do. This is my hope in skydiving, if I learn, I can fly, if I'm safe, I can fly even more and with others! I try to be as conscious in the air as possible and get the job done with little rif-raf. I agree with you about the whuffo jumpers and those that are striving to be jumpers. I'm striving so hard but this winter is killing me. I don't think its that hard to tell the difference between people who have jumped once and those who wish to jump again. I just chuckle and laugh to myself when I meet people who are like "I skydive". My response is how many jumps, and if they say 1 I always ask why they haven't done more than that. The usual list of excuses follows but mostly I think people are just plane scared. That's fine, if it wasn't scary it wouldn't be as thrilling to some and skydiving is not for everyone. All the people that I know at the dz think your videos kick much ass. All of the OU kids that got videos loved them, as did I when you did my 1st tandem. I hear people talking about your videos (good things always) and I assume they would tell you these things. Incase they haven't, your videos always rock, esp. the year end stuff you did. THANKS! Do not make them share the job because he will make your life hell in order to get the money he feels he is owed which is more than what his half would be. We had far worse problems with building our house and we found scrapping them and going completely with someone new was the best choice. I suggest telling the slacker that his time is up and thank him for his efforts. Then tell him he won't be needing to come out at all. I am sure he will plead with you or maybe offer a discount.
