S-turns are not just dangerous to the person doing them. They are also dangerous to the people behind you in the pattern who can get suddenly very close at a very low altitude..

Absolutely. The fact that there was no adult supervision had nothing to do with this accident. It's totally unfair to blame the parents for this. The truck driver was either sleeping or otherwise distracted and he's the one who should bear the responsibility.

Holy shit! Actor Chris Penn found dead!

How would that have made any appreciable difference in terms of conditions within Iraq and U.S. casualties there? -
Maybe not for the president. But the pitcher was certainly worth an orgasmic salute.

This is where a flag is thrown. Do you really think there are enough Eskimos to equal the political power of MLK's followers during the civil rights years? I agree. However, it's not so much the color of the skin that's important but the historical legacy. If Eskimos had been taken from their families and brought to the US by force to serve as slaves throughout our history, then an Eskimo MLK would be honored just as much.

Bill...Bill such a naive young man you must be. Care to elaborate? I happen to agree with him.

Apparently, this inmate was a bit more healthy than he let on. Death row elder needed 2 injections

Touche. However, it doesn't make Hillary look any better when we find out she's plagiarizing the Republican hacks!

I wonder if many Iranians think that? I mean many americans believe Bush is completely sane.... Please. When you compare Bush, however bad, to a guy who thinks the Holocaust was made up, you lose any credibility from the start. Really? Bush thinks a record deficit stretching into the future beyond the limit of predictions is "small and short term". That seems pretty deluded to me. Like I said. Delusional is delusional. Why is believing one incredible thing any worse than believing any other incredible thing? Doesn't Bush also hear voices in his head? And Hillary Clinton thinks the Congress is equivalent to a plantation in the times of slavery. All politicians are somewhat delusional, it comes with the territory. But it's a whole other league to deny the Holocaust. If you don't see that distinction, I feel sorry for you.

Sen. Clinton Plays The Race Card For Personal Political Gain
likearock replied to Sen.Blutarsky's topic in Speakers Corner
Yet another reason why I think she would be a disaster for the Democrats if nominated in 2008. The Republicans should and will make her pay for that statement. -
This has been proposed for months now. So far the Iranians are refusing to accept it under guise of national autonomy when they are probably just stalling for extra time to conduct additional "peaceful research." Right. And they'll probably use the same argument to refuse Bill's proposal of full-time, sleep-in inspectors.

The only realistic chance there was for a settlement that would result in Palestinian state was during the Barak-Arafat talks that Clinton sponsored in 2000. Israel made a lot of compromises to try and make that happen. It wasn't they that dropped the ball at that time.
-
You obviously have an axe to grind in that you only see one side of the issue. The fact of the matter is that Israel (as well as Palestine) has a historical claim to statehood in the Middle East. You can argue all you want that the Israelis are always the agressors but an objective observer can see that excesses come from both sides of the aisle.
-
I think it would be a lot simpler and more realistic to just get them to agree to "offshore" their uranium enrichment to the Russians.
-
Is that what's being done today? I'd be very surprised if it were so.
-
I have mention this many times before. To me it has nothing to do with Jews or Muslims it has to do with a land dispute. I'm talking about the land dispute. Israel as a Jewish nation is well documented in both books of the Bible as well as elsewhere. Any reason for that arbitrary cutoff?
-
But unless the inspectors actually lived on site, how could they be sure the extra enrichment wasn't being done in their absence? It's just too easy to play a shell game with the stuff.
-
Unfortunately, all it takes is some temporary disruption of inspections (for example, Iran "protesting" some issue), and they can get bomb grade uranium without anyone detecting it. Which is why the West is strongly protesting any uranium enrichment on Iranian soil. The latest I heard was that Russia was considering the possibility of allowing the enrichment to take place in their country, then shipping it back to Iran. If the Iranians have a problem with that compromise it should tell us something of their real motives.
-
The struggle between Jews and Muslims has been going on for thousands of years in the Middle East. Exactly how far back do you want to go to determine "who started it"?
-
And if they do?
-
What good does it do if they allow inspections while at the same time refusing to stop enriching uranium?
-
Iraq is very differerent from Iran, as you well know. Fine. Let's just ignore the threat then since we're paralyzed by our own guilt. Should be an interesting Holocaust Symposium they're planning in Teheran.
-
Correct. A much more likely scenario is that Iran's nuclear material will find its way into a dirty bomb or briefcase nuke that a terrorist then takes to Tel Aviv. Not when you have a nuclear armed country that has a long and close relationship with terrorists.
