Do you honestly believe, in this day and age and with the audience that watches a show like LOST, that publicity like that is BAD for the show? I don't buy it. Ask any publicist what constitutes "bad publicity". For crap's sake, her character on the show was a bad-ass killer. Does a real-life DWI detract from that image? Good point. I'm mediocre in both disciplines, yet I'm welcome in both at my DZ. But bad juju is bad juju. Maybe it radiates out from some people like a visible cloud of angst. He was too sure of himself, able to play with the minds of his "captors" too readily. Plus, knowing he's one of the Others, and knowing that they seem to be aware of just about everything that happens on the island, I find it hard to believe that one of the Others would not know about the traps that the French woman placed. For as self-assured as he was in captivity, some of his statements rang a bit false, almost as if he wanted to brag about himself but cast enough fear and doubt into the mix to make his audience believe he was talking about someone else: "He's a brilliant man, but unforgiving. He'll kill me because I failed my mission." I also believe that "Henry", their former(?) prisoner is the leader of the Others. I think he planned to get caught and infiltrate the survivors camp. That's just my theory, though. I think he may be set to take the whole group down to get Walt back. She can't help it that she's a proud member of the Sonic Beef family. Since the naming process tends to be burdened with many external factors, such as alcohol, growling stomachs, sunburn and/or utter lack of regard for what the potential name could imply, she may have simply been saddled with that name based on a desire to send her into the world defending her honor and character from that moment on. I would imagine they do. That wasn't my point. My point was that if you have "deal" mentality in a physical state that requires others to modify interaction parameters to cater to your unhealthy lifestyle, you're expecting people to assist you in remaining at least as unhealthy as you currently are. When I'm having a bad day, I'm not expecting society to make changes to accomodate me. Again, off the original point. Accepting someone at face value, and accommodating them in an unhealthy, dangerous lifestyle are completely different animals.
