6 miles, 2-3 times a week, depending on how whiny I feel that week. I usually run that 6 miles in about an hour. Heck, I'm usually happy just to finish running that far without stopping for new lungs. An interesting footnote to that plan is that the Big Guys (Sprint, BellSouth, etc.), the ones with the network infrastructures in place already, do not have to share equipment and price wholesale service lower for competing companies so they can thrive as competitors. My last employer, a local ISP, was incensed over that ruling. In essence, If that guy wants to resell Sprint or BellSouth DSL service to his own customer base, he has to buy it for what those companies offer it for and then add his mark-up. No who would YOU choose in that instance? It made me laugh to think that's the boat he's now in, but I'm sure there's a down side. Edited to add: They don't have to make allotments for competitors at that level as long as they provide a fiber backbone to all areas of their customer base within a certain amount of time. In a way, it saddens me to see all of these fine young Sonic Beef candidates selling their potential memberships to the god "Eggzorsize" in exchange for what will eventually take control of your life. Once you START working out, you have to keep at it or a 20lbs loss will be a 19lbs loss in a few weeks. I just don't understand that kind of drive and determination. On a different note, if the rumors I've started are true, I'm in training for a half marathon in February, so I'm running my Beefy ass off.
