I tried to play Harry Houdini in my garage and fell 12 feet, headfirst, onto the concrete, cracking my skull in the process. The really cool thing was not remembering any of it and waking up in ICU with tubes and probes all over me. I actually enjoyed this movie, but it's fairly easy for me to suspend disbelief on a regular basis. I enjoyed it immensely...until the kid behind me vomitted an ocean of bile onto the back of my seat and created a creeping carpet of yuck for the rest of the movie. I'd also be interested in seeing a study on how many introverted children remain that way well into adulthood. There is more than a little truth to the comment regarding societal perceptions about introverts versus extroverts. How many inteoverted kids grow up thinking it was an aberration to be the way they were? Are these the same students who did no work, completed no assignments and then came crawling to you at the last minute for extra-credit when they found out at midterm that they were going to fail? Oh, by the way, my father is good friends with the professor who taught those same courses at that same school before you. When they begged him to come back, he told them, in no uncertain terms, "Not only no, but HELL no." For the same reasons and concerns you have about the "faculty". I mentioned wanting to do the deep-fried turkey thing to my dad and he brought up the house-burning deal. It seems to have taken on a life of it's own now. Although I will say that my dad is urban legend susceptible on a fairly regular basis. I suppose if you're a booger-eating moron who doesn't pay attention to detail, you might burn your house down that way. I suppose those same people might accomplish the same end by boiling water.
