  1. One must first find someone with writing comprehension before you can find reading comprehension.
  2. I'm going to have to say NO WAY! But then I've only ever seen one of them up close and personal, so I'm probably not a good person to ask. I have no idea why I'm even answering this question. Never mind.
  3. You are just hella mean dude. But the first number was a Zero! Honest! Yeah, but you rubbed in all your jumps. That is just rude. Mean and rude.
  4. Yeah except he knows I was there with my mother and my aunts who don't drink or gamble and don't approve of anyone who drinks or gambles so he knows that I couldn't have had that great of a time. I'm not good at the mean thing either. I have his new suit all cut out. I guess I'll go finish it. Maybe the weather will be good next weekend and you'll come jump with me?
  5. You are just hella mean dude. Rube it in. I think your suit is going to be taking a little bit longer to make now.
  6. Wow! You scored big time! Just in case your wife doesn't tell you--- You're a wonderful guy!
  7. That is the most wonderful V-day gift ever! I'm sure your wife will love it. (I still say skip the flowers.)
  8. Oh! But we are spending all morning together before I go. So I don't think that counts.
  9. I looked that up. It seems that school districts across the state of Washington buy their beef from a meat packing plant in California. The slaughter house there is under investigation so the schools are holding all their beef until that is over. I think the beef you buy in the store is fine.
  10. The Tukwila Trading Company didn't have much in their add this week. I was disappointed, so don't judge the store by this weeks add. Usually they have rocking deals on everything. I do get all my spices there. They have big bottles of them for only a buck. They have super lean ground beef this week for 1.99 a pound (10 pounds or more) I've seen them have better deals on that but, oh well. They usually have the chubs of ground turkey for a buck too. They have New York steaks for 2.79 if you want a good steak. When you get to the store go to the customer service counter and grab their add. They have coupons in it that you might want. Also you can sign up to get on their mailing list and they'll send you their add in the mail every week.
  11. Yes, I understand autism. My sister has three boys that are on the spectrum from mild to severe. I was guessing that autism was the problem but I didn't know if he had a diagnosis or not. I was talking to my kids (ages 19,17,16,14) about your post and their first reaction was that your son was autistic and the second was that it was really cool that he could play video games so well. Then they began to talk about what kind of money he could make doing that. (kids!) They thought your son was amazing and so do I. Has he looked into being a video game tester? I found it interesting that my kids could actually tell when someone is autistic and understand and look past that to the person. Probably because they have been around autism for so long. My son, Brett, (16) has been best friends with a boy down the street since they were both three. His friend has Aspergers and Brett, to this day, is his only friend. It sounds to me like your son is doing pretty well but I hope he can find happiness beyond his video games. It's more important for him to find his own happiness than it is that he lives up to anyones expectations or ideals. It doesn't matter that he didn't graduate High School. It matters that he can live on his own and take care of himself and be happy. That is all I wish for my own children. We hope that our kids will graduate, get a good job, make lots of money, live up to their potential, etc. But if they don't, bottom line, I just hope they are happy. As for his dishes, I would get or devise a different rack that works better for him. Get a stand with a drain plate under it so that he can lean all the dishes against it or something. Or better yet, just put down a dish towel and stack the dishes on that without the dish rack. With some things I don't think it's worth the battle of conformity. ~Just my thoughts.
  12. I'm glad Dave's suits fit him! Tell him to take a picture and post it so we can all so how it looks.
  13. Wow! I just wanted to say, thanks for posting that. I know it wasn't easy. I think what you wrote is an important and a very worthwhile read for all parents. Were you ever able to get your son professionally tested and figure out what was wrong? I can feel your pain from what you wrote. I really hope he can be happy one day.
  14. OMG! I just cleaned out my closet today and found a box from my high school days. It had a huge pack of those in it!! (I bought them for the bubble gum back then.)
  15. Kudos Jaye. My sister went through the same thing with her boys. All three are autistic. You really have to stay on top of the developmental charts and if they are behind or something is off, take them in and INSIST on professional testing. Most Dr.s would rather just tell you to wait but if you do and hope they they "grow out of it" it might just be too late. But if everything is fine, then just spend time with them and play and thank your lucky stars that you have a wonderfully rambunctious child.
  16. That is exactly what I thought too. Autistic kids scream a lot. There isn't anything to do about it but understand. With understanding comes acceptance.

    Spokane Area ?

Yes, you sort of have to do that this year.... We are setting the dates right now too. It's looking like it will be the last weekend of August this year.

    Spokane Area ?

Well, if you are going to be over in Spokane, my DZ is just a hop skip and a jump from there. You should plan a weekend and come jump with us over on this side.
  19. I have four kids almost grown now. All of them above average, in the gifted program, half of them have scholarships to college the other half is still in High School. When my first was of age to go to pre-school our family Dr. told us it wasn't necessary. The best thing for kids age 0-5 is to be at home spending time with their parents. Let them follow you around the house, "helping" with cooking, cleaning, yard work, or whatever it is you do. Get down on the floor and play with them. Not necessarily academic things but just play whatever your kid wants to play. They learn so much more from that than anything else.
  20. Yes! Definitely. Probably you didn't notice though I imagine.
  21. Well, that plastic isn't made for the wear and tear that skydiving puts on it, so it doesn't last. Plus when you wrap your bare body up in one of those things it sweats a lot and looks very uncomfortable.
  22. Please tell me they don't have any "clear" parts. I only made that ONE clear suit and haven't ever made another one.
  23. Hey Dave! Let me know they all fit. I usually don't stick suits in the mail like that. I sort of like to fit things personally and make sure you are happy. If everything doesn't fit, come on over for dinner again and we'll make it good!
