    Ok, but this is a website where we discuss such things. If you don't want to read about it, don't read this. We don't "do things" on here, we talk about things. People have done things like contacting USPA, which apparently stayed quiet on the matter. I just find it funny when people post that we should stop talking about something on here, or when people get mad that someone (like USPA) doesn't respond to the complaints about whatever the topic of the day is on here.     I think offered would be a better way to put it. Don't charge the big nonskydiving sponsors anything to come out the first time but also don't provide them anything other than some space to setup. This way both get to decide if they think it's worth entering money/exclusivity deals. IMO air sports are one of the few sports venues where your average person can't at least emulate or try to do what we do relatively inexpensively.     Until now, Coke, Budweiser, GM, Ford, AT&T, etc. could basically come to anyone of our events for free and hand out stuff to "test the waters". I haven't seen any of them really at any. If they aren't coming when it's free, why do people think they'll come when they now have to pay?     Companies have a limited amount of advertising $$$. In the past, if they didn't want to spend the $$$ to officially be at an event, they could provide locally sponsored skydivers with items to give out which encourages them to sponsor more skydivers for this. With protection plans like this there is less value in them sponsoring as many. This doesn't hurt the big, top level sponsored teams per se, more the little guy that is just trying to defray some of the costs of their gear.     How were sponsorships offered? Was it a sponsorship exclusivity deal to the highest bidder for each type of product (1 canopy manufacturer, 1 rig vendor) or was it a flat rate to all?
