Merrick, This one should have been written and shown to me a few months ago...and I should have taken it to heart... FFF
-
Froggie, I read that too but our version down here in S.C. goes like this... God, grant me the serenity, to accept the things I cannot change, The Courage to change the things I can, And the Weaponry to make the difference... FFF
-
P-Tig, I don't know where in S.C. you live, but we don't have mail delivery...The Post Office, however, does have two NRA stickers and a decal saying "Post Office" on it...and to top it off, if all the guns that were carried on the inside were carried on the outside, this place would look like Dodge City in the 1800's...but we have no crime... Skymama, "ROLL MODEL"?? Has anyone actually explained that the purpose in having feet is to "stand them up"?? I never needed a roll model...I found out that I can roll with the best of 'em...Oh, I see,now...You meant "ROLE model"...Ok, I got ya'...sorry...(snicker) FFF

Dutchie, So where ya' gonna' be this weekend?? Rome or S/A?? At 2.5 miles per gallon and gas at $1.59 I can't go both places... FFF

Where should incidents/fatality reports go?
freefallfreak replied to skreamer's topic in The Bonfire
Froggie, I still agree...to the point where sensationalism occurs...we don't always get things stated right from people who witness things...no two people see the same thing from the same vantage point...and things get distorted this way...so IMHO, I believe before someone states something in here as a fact, the facts should be researched from different angles...the tragic part of this is that most people want to believe the worst and state this as fact before all the research is done...this is an injustice for us all...as for myself, I had rather find out WHY something happened than WHAT happened... just my $0.02 FFF -
Where should incidents/fatality reports go?
freefallfreak replied to skreamer's topic in The Bonfire
Skreamer and Pyke, I gotta' agree with the BOTH of ya'...My only concern was the sensationalism that seems to be taking place with the coverage of the incidents...the only people concerned with the blood and guts issue are the ones that don't seem to care how this affects families and friends of the victims. In my opinion, this is the only thing that needs to be stopped for it is not journalism, but a play to capture attention and sell print...Most of these so called "journalists", whether credible or not, can't even spell properly and don't know the definitions of simple words such as "then" and "than", bringing about questions of their education and knowledge...I am sorry if this offends anyone but I see it in the newspaper every day and wonder just who and how much is being taught in our schools...and for what purpose...I, for one, have a very limited education, only holding an AA in Small Business Management, an AA in Marketing, and 3 computer certificates...This limits me to fields not related to journalism... although I don't always use proper english, I, at least, know it when I see it...and I know sensationalism when I see it, too... Cyber, The last time I was in Monroe was last summer when ya'll were doing the AFF certification thingy... and Bill hadn't supplied the webmasters with sheep yet...but he was talking about it then...hehehe...he just couldn't figure out whether to hide them in the king air at night or take a chance and let 'em roam free to play in the hangar... FFF
-
Skymama, I will always offer my mind and body for the cause...remember, others helped me so it is my turn to help now...(except if I have to go North)...in anyway I can to further the cause of safe and sound skydiving...tee-hee... FFF
-
Cyber, Any truth to the rumor about the sheep getting loose down by the power lines and having unprotected sex with a certain webmaster for Bill?? Just wondered...tee-hee FFF
-
Mountainman, Better his "rig" than his "apron", I guess...tee-hee...of course, since they are color-coordinated, they might have a "hard" time figuring out which is which...hehehe... FFF Oh, Hi Merrick...didn't see you there...
-
Skreamer, I was not, have never been, and will never be a tandem master...altho I would really like to take credit for this, I have to admit, it wasn't me...damn it...but if any of the young ladies want to dirt dive this particular jump and need a stand-in for the tandem master, I shall be happy to provide my services...free of charge, of course...with a few exceptions...the dz of choice has to be neutral territory...no more cameras...if an accuracy pad like the one at Raeford is used, the buzzer has to be turned off... and I won't cross the North Carolina border into Yankee territory for the devil herself... FFF
-
Speedracer, OUCH!!! FFF
-
A. NOT skydiving. B. NO sex. C. NO food. NOT necessarily in that order. FFF
-
Dutchie, I'll be screwed blue...I didn't think you would know me here...tee-hee...and tell Rachel I said "hi" and give her all my love...see ya' on the 28th... FFF PS. sorry for the secrecy...it's just hard to type this so I'd rather do it in person...later, dude, and have fun in Ireland... FFF
-
Jessica, In response to Zennie's post -- and let me put on my flame-proof underwear here - if ya' take that wrap for the extra flare, don't do it up high...wait until the first leg of your landing approach, cause if ya' do it up high and then have to cut away for some reason, the line can snag on your hand...especially if you are wearing gloves... and then...watcha gonna do?? I did that until it was pointed out to me...then I had my brake lines shortened...it worked out better...and doesn't take but a few seconds... FFF

SkymonkeyOne, Why in the hell didn't you tell me who you were?? I knew that you were a Factory Diver but you didn't tell me that you and Cavin worked together...we talked for ten or fifteen minutes and you never said a word about that...Hell, I'd have bought you a case of beer...any friend of his is a friend of mine...I even learned my hooks from watching/questioning him...best damn canopy pilot/flier I ever saw...Small world...
