    I am wondering what the rules say about jumping somewhere that is not on a DZ. For instance, hypothetically speaking, one were to rent a C-182 from an airport for one hour and has a pilot fly the plane. This person would want to get out over their own private property of lots of acres and land there as well. It would not count as a demo and the pilot would not be being paid to do this. So, the question is, would one be able to do this? And if so, what would they have to do to prepare? I have read the FAA rules and regs about it (Part 105), but didn't see anything that would outlaw this. The only thing I could see that would need done would be to notify ATC at least 1 hour before. Anyone know for SURE?? I dont need anyone saying not to do it or whatever because I'm not. I am very curious for the future since my family lives in the country and has lots of land.     what was the reason you landed so far out Lew?? Just wondering how you could be so far out that no one saw you in freefall, under canopy, or after to know that you wouldn't make it back. Also, why didn't the manifest get worried when you didn't come? Wouldn't they suspect something if they called you a couple times? Just think that is weird that they didn't send out the hounds or something since you didn't get there to sign your CC slip. Curious. -------------- JumpinDuo.com is here!!!

    Great pictures HH. Do you use Photoshop to make your galleries? I use that for mine. I like it a lot and it does it so fast. I have used the Dreamweaver one on occasion as well. -------------- JumpinDuo.com is here!!!

    I haven't lost the manual, and I read all that cool stuff and got it all setup for my next jump. However, I was just wondering what to set it at so I can compare with other jumpers and be on the same wavelength. It seemed like the SAS was a more acturate and consistant.     ALF = Annoying Little F***. I think it came from flamers on rec.skdiving. They are pretty much the annoying ones on there who have nothing better to say (at least the originals are). I think we have some locals who are ALFs that are just "honorary" members.

    should really print out all the specs from one website (preferably Sony.com) and then set them side-by-side and look at the individual specs. you'll start to see the differences and what each thing has and doesn't have. good luck with the search. -------------- JumpinDuo.com is here!!!

    Eric.....I will hopefully be getting my 169 soon, but will certainly be using the demo, 189 for a bit first. However, I was thinking about putting Laura's 149 in after about 10 more jumps. Whaddya think?? And THEN, I was thinking.............
