I had met and spoke to Adrian on a few occasions, but it was only at the Freefly Extravaganza in Texel on the 19th-21st August '05 that i really got to know him. Adrian, Rob Silver and me were constantly ribbing each other and taking the piss, it was all very good fun. I only managed to get on one load with Adrian, a 14-way Atmonauti Tandem, i exited before Adrian who was last out, i remember looking down to the load and thinking 'Crikey! They're far away!!!' I put every inch of effort into getting down to the group and suddenly a green flash went past me at twice my speed! he just nipped down and over the group, truely amazing flying!! Adrian was and still is a true pioneer in our sport, and he will be greatly missed. The Helicopter is pretty much sorted, It's the balloon guy i'm waiting to here from, he's very keen at the moment. On the 17th-18th September i have organised a boogie for the London Skydivers. As you know we have the choice of 7 Dropzones within easy reach of London, so here's your chance to come along to Weston and check it out! We will have TWO G-92 Dorniers, I'm just waiting for confirmation in the Helicopter and Balloon, Things are looking good at the moment! All jumps are just £16! If you've never been to Weston before there's no membership fee for this weekend! Boogie Registration is just £5 (To cover cost of organisors etc) Don't worry if you're not from London, everyones welcome! We will have load organising in FS, Freefly, Tracking/Atmonauti and Hybrids. There are also instructors on hand for any coaching etc. Weston also offers Free camping, cheap bar, HUGE landing area, very large packing hall, creeper pads, mock-ups, packers, rigging services, hot free and clean shower block. We also have a food van and vending machines that provide food and hot/cold drinks all day! Come along and check us out, It's gonna be a great event!
