  3. I'm well aware of what a shear pin is and it's function, but this is a woodruff key which is cast into the flywheel instead of being a seperate piece, so if the key fails you have to buy a new flywheel instead of just a key. To me Sthil's bean counters decided that it would be cheaper to incororate the key into the casting than mill every flywheel in the CNC. as I said before the design is a piece of crap. Yesterday I spoke to a representative of Stihl and it will be repaired under garantee. When I asked him if the repair will carry a two year garantee he said the repair will run with the garantee of the machine. So basically I'm looking at two seasons use then throw it away. Never had any problems with Husqvarna out door machines Gone fishing
  4. I have a sthil weedwacker and what a load of crap it is, Only one seasons use, this year filled it with gas and off I went till I hit a pole (cleaning around the pole) and it stopped with a splut splut splut, to cut a long story short, the aluminium flywheel which houses the stator uses a integral woodruff key and the stupid thing snapped, so the flywheel ended up spinning uselessly on the crank, when I took it to the shop (under guarentee) the guy said I had obviously been using it for use never intended for that model. It's a effing wheedwhacker what else can it be used for Gone fishing
  5. When I was in the trade I made it a point to always fit the toilet bowl with brass screws coated with silicona and stainless steel nuts so then even after years of piss and water from mopping they came out the same as the day they were put in. Gone fishing

Now if we are talking the US airforce taking me up in an F15-E... now we are cooking with petrol...gas....petrol... same thing. Nope!.... you don't cook with petrol, or gasoline, (well, I suppose you could) ....you cook with gas (propane or natural gas) Andy's a dickhead, the frase is "now we're cookin with deisel" but as he's from Canvey isle (Gas mark 7) he's got gas on the brain Gone fishing

    HP compaq (preloaded)

I know that now, but when I bought it Vista was cutting edge ( acording to MS ) The machine's hdd was partitioned into three, two partitions full of crap I was never going to use. What should of been an eaisy task of just changing the OS was una mierda. Trying to load XP kept returning a screen saying (in Spanish) no HDD XP can't be run on this machine. It's my machine and I'll run any damm OS I want. So off I go in to the bios and start fiddling, turned out I needed to disable the SATA option, now I can load XP, HDD formated, XP loaded, God damm it I've only got half a screen, You've guessed it, I dont have the drivers, Back to the trusty PC and do a million searches for the drivers, found everything except the driver for the card reader, that can wait for a bit. So it is possible to wind back to trusty old XP but it takes time and paitence. Gone fishing

    HP compaq (preloaded)

A few years ago I bought a compaq that came preloaded with Vista basic. I never really used the machine as it was handier to use the PC. Now I find that I'm using the laptop more and more, so the first thing was get rid of Vista and load XP, What a fucking nightmare. I will never buy another preloaded machine, Gone fishing

    Any tree experts?

I've always found that if you're not sure about the healthof a tree driving a large copper spike into it some where around the base of the tree settles the matter once and for all. or the old Sodium clorate trick, if it survives that, it's healthy. Gone fishing

  17. Well I'm closer to sixty than fifty, I could tell you what you have to look forward too but I decided not to depress you, Ahh what the hell, the worst I've found is the calf and thigh muscles cramping up whilst having vigourous sex, that is really embarassing. waking up in the morning without a good stiffy, Being told by the doctor that you can't eat your favourite meals After drinking a bottle of JD you realise that your bladder muscles arn't as strong as you thought. On the political side you know that a few well placed tactical nuclear devices would solve a lot of problems On the plus side with age you get more tolarant of assholes like me Gone fishing
