Helo Jumps are too cool. I made my first helo jump at Rantoul. The feeling i got was soooo freaking awesome!!! A little bit of the falling sensation. Too cold?? Its not even close to being too cold to jump here in the midwest. If you're worried about currency through the winter when the temp is above 50 just go and make a hopnpop then your current for another 30 days. That being said I was a student through last winter and managed to stay current. Just dress for the cold. A neck muffler, sweatshirt and a turtleneck will keep you warm in freefall. Also buy a pair of neoprene gloves and a pair of those little stretchy gloves to wear underneath them. Just make sure that you can feel and touch all of your handles before getting in the aircraft. Yes, once again i'm back. An update... For the 2nd time my wife and I have decided to try with all of our might to get things worked out between us. She freely admitted that she wasn't using counseling to try to keep us together and has agreed to try harder for us. I know it sounds like a broken record but this time I really thought it was over. Some of you may be wondering why I would try to take another shot at it, but it like this. When you spend a significant part of your life with someone its not easy to just throw in the towel and walk away. I mean 6 years is a hell of a long time to be with someone and I want to exhaust every avenue that we have before coming to the divorce decision... Well, here I am again making basically the same post i did the last time. My wife has decided to divorce me and as of right now there's no chance of reconcilliation. We've been to counseling. We've tried to work out our differences and it is just not working. I'll be signing off of DZ.com for awhile so that I can get my life in order. I'm not leaving with much, but as was the case the last time, she is taking all computers. For those of you that have my Cell # please try to keep in touch, and I'll do the same. AMEN BROTHER!!! I cant stand it when people do that. If a tire blew on that big truck, the concussion would but out the windows on the car. I am a Truck Driver and a motorist. I cant stand it when im flying to the DZ after work and some asshole wants to do 67mph in the fast lane. I see it all the time. Here is some additional info on the speeds that some companies big trucks are governed at so that you can adjust your speeds. or slam on the brakes

I'm not an instructor and my advice should be taken with a grain of salt! But here's two that i thought of. When you're under canopy, be aware of others and keep your head on a swivel Also I would make sure that you have adequate separation between you and the group the has left before you.
