    Dublin

Not quite the same. I've never been to Dublin before, I just know it is popular, and coincided with Flock & Dock this year. Looks like that will not be a problem for 2006.
  3. I like the idea of sequentials.
  4. Hey, me too! Although I'm way too young to have ever seen them in concert. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

    Dublin

When is Dublin 2006? I don't want to clog up the events forum with this post, as I'm sure the topic has been covered, but I searched like crazy and could not find an answer, although I found dozens of threads about how much fun Dublin will be, even one from a while ago where someone is saying it's the last day to register as an event at Dublin. But no mention of the dates in any of the gobs of threads I searched through... www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  6. That's my point. Current video game technology can still improve on itself while staying in a normal TV format. There is no reason to move up to the next format until it looks as good as possible on the current format. So the entire concept of HD games, even "proper" HD games, is sort of screwy to me. Video games still look like video games, and assuming the goal is to make them look like real life (which most companies are trying), simply jacking up the resolution and framerate will not make a difference. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  7. I don't know who put that idea out there, but it doesn't make any sense. Games are to the point where more resolution/framerate will not make them look any better, IMO. The improvements will be found in new game engines, processing, polygon count, lighting, effects, so on. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  8. Who makes it? www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  9. WTF is a dragon skin??? www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  10. You can count on a lot of flockers there, but you'll be missing my wonderful company. I'll be in Eloy.
  11. Well if that's true then I guess you made the right choice. Although I never put much stock in projectons about the future. Not right now, no. I don't have the time for it these days. Although I spent probably THOUSANDS of hours in high school and college playing FPS's online. Quake 1, 2, and 3, and RTCW mainly. Some other crap thrown in the mix. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  12. Jesus Christ, now that's what I call getting it done! Even now, 12 jumps in 2 days is a busy weekend for me (I'm lazy). Congrats dude, and welcome to the pre-flock. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  13. Why wait 14 hours to buy it on day one if it will sit in the closet for 4 weeks? As others pointed out, in a week you will be able to get it without the 14 hour wait... Also, why did the line stretch so far if there were only 26 systems? www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  14. UPDATE: In addition to the Twin Otter, there will also be a Casa. So come on all you Florida Flockers (Z-Flock, I'm looking your way), and enjoy some good old fashioned tailgate.
  15. In case anybody wasn't sure, the pics aren't mine - they were taken by Scary Perry. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  16. I'd imagine it lets him control his front risers with his feet... I was curious about the helmet on his head, looked like a weird "conehead" d-box for a topmount camera or something. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  17. Every time we ran into each other in DeLand, we said we'd make a birdie jump together "next time". The jump never happened. I didn't know him well but he seemed like a great guy. Great health too, not very old... this is confusing. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  18. Sure, they're holding them at manifest at your local DZ... tell them the code word "skydiver" and they'll give you a special rate. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  19. We have a winner. (although it's not me in the pic) www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  20. Nope, no blown out legwing, all appendages intact. Keep looking. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

  22. Well, I'm making progress. CLICK Attempted 2-way backfly jump in the Keys. Obviously Scott has the position nailed, moreso than me at least. I checked my Neptune graph vs the video and at this point in the jump I was doing 44mph, and Scott was going even slower, since I was sinking out on him. I've got decent fallrates down but am still struggling to fly relative to normal (i.e. not ridiculously slow) flocks. With legwing open I outdrive them, with it closed I outsink them. If my knees could bend the other way maybe I'd have a solution... www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  23. Saying something can glide 100m means nothing if you don't say how much vertical distance it covers during the same glide. My friend says these snakes get close to a 2:1 glide but I'm not sure where he got that info. Watching the videos, I'm not even sure if it's a pure glide; could be an optical illusion but it appears to me they are almost generating thrust the way they move. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  24. True. In my short time in the sport, I have already done a few stupid things that I got lucky and walked away from. Not commenting on this specific instance, but on the trend of the "walk away = ok" style responses. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  25. This is too cool. Check out these videos. The gliding videos (at the bottom) are way cooler than the "take-off" (exit shot ) videos. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
