  1. The gravitron is the only move Omar and I can do very consistently and with a constant ~3 feet separation usually. Watch the very end of this video, and also this video at 7:32 and 8:52 for some gravitron footage. The one at 7:32 is split-screen and shows both perspectives. Both videos are also on Omar's site. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  2. Funny thing about advice - when you ask for it, you get it. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  3. That sad thing Ron, is that people with an attitude like this guy has demonstrated do not respond to logic. Your example is perfectly relevant, but he will not see it as so. It will only strengthen his stubborn resolve. The only things that are likely to stop him are personal experience (a bad one) and outright physical restraint (regulation/prevention). I do not make this statement based on my skydiving experience; I make it as a psychological/character evaluation. Then again, it is difficult to judge character over the internet. Maybe underneath all the know-it-all responses there is really some serious thought going on and we're getting through to him. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

  5. I suspect nobody knows for sure yet. I for one would be extremely disappointed. This is without a doubt my favorite boogie. I wonder if there is any other location that could fill the void that would remain? www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  6. I could never get screen capture to work... it always copies the media player border with a black screen as the display. These days I just use one of the editing programs I have installed. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  7. Correction, you need 1 Scott Bland and 8 of me. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  8. Why do you say that? www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  9. Avery, it's definitely not to be missed. Check Google Earth or something to see pictures of the beautiful terrain (and ocean) we fly over. Or watch the video of last year's boogie on that DVD I mailed you. This is my favorite boogie of the year. Even with the 25mph winds they always have. Even if I did only solos, it would be my favorite boogie. I cannot explain it, but nothing beats flying a wingsuit over Marathon. You can cross back and forth over the mainland more than once in a flight and alternate between "Florida Bay" (Gulf of Mexico) and Atlantic Ocean. The beach jumps are awesome, especially with a wingsuit, you are flying over no-man's land for the whole jump and opening over the only (tiny) LZ there is. To the other poster from Miami: there is not a DZ in Marathon; Sebastian sets up a temporary one there one weekend per year. There is at least one other DZ that does this too at a different time of the year, I think. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  10. 1. Perry 2. Matt 3. Purple Mike Me and Mike have been dreaming of a TIGHT 9-way diamond forever. Would make for a killer picture. It's not that hard but I've yet to see it done by anyone. Let's do it here! Perry got a shot last year of the best 4-way diamond I've seen, now let's make it 9. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  11. I think I might have a wingsuit or two somewhere. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  12. I actually prefer Vegas and think it's the easiest to use, of the few I've tried (I haven't tried Window Movie Maker yet though). Try to find some Vegas tutorials if you can't figure it out on your own, the interface is really pretty simple. You can make a whole movie with slow-mo, fades, and music by just clicking and dragging basically. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  13. Follow the link to Laszlo's site and buy one from him. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  14. You should call Robi and tell him his designs are 30% inefficient. Perhaps then he can redesign the pressure balance (removing the need for mass balancing) and all of his suits will fly this much better. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  15. Yup. When seeing a series of doctors after a hard opening hurt my back, EACH one entered the room and said "oh, so I heard you had a hard landing?" Even after I explained to each one that was never the case, and I never told that to anyone so there is nowhere they should be "hearing it", the new ones still kept coming in saying the same thing. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  16. There are certain movies, where just hearing the title is enough to strongly suspect that they suck. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  17. I dunno, I was just assuming they would. Could be wrong, sorry. www.WingsuitPhotos.com

  20. On a hard drive I used a program called GetDataBack to recover deleted data. I have no idea if this would work on a solid state memory card. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  21. Nice, I was not even alive then! www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  22. You have to look at which dimensions those #'s actually correspond to. The PC1000 box you are referring to, I can guarantee will NOT fit an HC96 properly. If all 3 numbers happen to match up, and you can fit the HC96 in there because of it, well then the lens will be pointing straight up at the sky and the access door. The HC96 and PC1000 have RADICALLY different aspect ratios. You are matching the depth of the box with the height of the camera, and vice-versa. The only box which has a chance of working is the TRV one I mentioned earlier. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  23. Yeh, I have actually never really heard of any problems with the old cameras, but when Mykel said he and all his friends had problems with the 109, I suggested maybe because it was old... but he debunked that idea anyway since he said the problems happened in the first year. Good luck with your HC1, if my HC90 ever dies I might get the HC3 or whatever else is out then. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  24. The HC96, which is in my opinion the best non-HD Sony DV cam out there, can be obtained brand new in 48 hours from a reputable dealer for less than $600 - not even close to $1000. I have never owned or examined footage from a TRV27, but the specs of the HC96 are superior in two of the most important aspects: pixel count and CCD diameter. I disagree that it will produce the "same level of footage". I just searched eBay (including "completed items" in the past 30 days) and could not find any TRV17 or TRV27 for sale or recently sold. In addition, the TRV is much bigger than the HC. So, if you want to wait a couple months for a bigger, older, lower quality camera to pop up on eBay, you may spend $300. Or you can spend $600 for a smaller, newer, higher quality camera, and have it immediately. My choice is obvious. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
