Impossible to believe! Above numbers are based on same elevations, seizures, based on same questions, figures? How to oppose those figures? OK, becoming off-topic now, but a highly interesting point. 1day I will learn to use right buttons here .. dudeist skydiver # 3105

And there was another wise person which said: "War is father of all things" Sorry for my poor translation I, of course, hate war. But this senctence is worth to think about twice. Christel And another wise man said: Ahhh, alcohol. The cause of, and cure to most of life's problems. OK, noted. But what's deeper sense behind that statement in regards to the others? Or are you talking about the alcohol consumption of someone specific? dudeist skydiver # 3105

No and Yes. I never bought by myself, just choose and my loving man buys . And then I wear it. But there should be much more supervision over farms keeping animals for breeding. These animals have to be treated in an absolute proper way until their last moment. Same way like cattle on alpine meadows eating with mouth full of fresh green grass, poultry running around free... There will always be an industry on fur, leather etc. dudeist skydiver # 3105

Bodies of WWI soldiers found in glacier

*** I was just saying that in general, American schools do teach about the events leading to the outbreak of WWI, and that they don't teach that it was "all the Germans fault." Pls don't get me wrong: I said "it seemed....". But, in fact this is not important. Much more important is to know. What do our children know? And in this special case, it's just referring to Austrian soldiers discovered in a glacier. Besides the history: It must be highly interesting to have a view on those bodies, do read what they "tell" us: there is so much to learn. Who started WW1 really is not interesting in this discovery. Right? -
Fully understand. I love to do this even w/o weapons! Hunting is not main part of my life

That's not your problem. That the birth right of owning weapons. Of growing up with a gun in your hands. And in my opinion, that's the red line in all. Not everyone is made for that. To own a shotgut, a colt, easy to reach, to use. dudeist skydiver # 3105

Bodies of WWI soldiers found in glacier
christelsabine replied to JohnRich's topic in Speakers Corner
At first, sometimes I simply read: "A quick google search showed that....."´. This is not my way of discussing, even it's helpful especially regarding details, f. e. years of special events etc. But to really talk with others, it needs more than a PC, probably I am wrong and should reduce my opinion on personal discussions. At next, this event of discovering dead Austrian soldiers (they do not have a "star" on their cap, it's a alpine flower called "Edelweiss" ) really is a sensation and should show not only Europeans, what the past is able to show us. And furthermore, one interesting point is that the WW1 was not initiated by Germans; Our allied in those days were the Austrians(Austrian/Hungarian Donau Monarchy), later attacked by Serbia (their allied were Russians) which finally killed the successor of the throne in Sarajewo). The 1st WW begun. I do not remember in detail in which threads it's been mentioned: We, the poor, small Germans ) did inflame all fires of war, i.e. 1st n 2nd WW. This seems to be a general opinion outside Europe. This was my reason to ask: What does the world "outside" really know about these events in the begin of 19th century? You know, it's easy just to blame us on all, WW1 and WW2. And that's incorrect. I never would apologize for anything happening before I was borne. That's not my biz. It's simply surprising to read the ideas of others, which seem to still remain in days 60 years ago (ore more?) OK, thats enough and should not inflame something else. You understand what I mean? If not, just blame it on my bad English Christel German dudeist skydiver # 3105 -

Bodies of WWI soldiers found in glacier
christelsabine replied to JohnRich's topic in Speakers Corner
No, not really. Fact is, it's easy just to do a "google search". This is not my way of entering any discussion. What I'm throwing into a "discussion" is my own knowledge, my own brain. (Probably a small one, who knows? ) So I do not need to read a discourse I'm able to do by myself. My question was not ironique, simply a question, as I could imagine, these time periods are mainly forgotten. I just tried to remember what I learned, what I still have in mind. Very important to know: How do other countries outside Europe judge these events, ending with 1st WW? This was my very first idea upon reading in news paper that these Austrian bodies were found. And such would be my answer to you. Christel dudeist skydiver # 3105 -

ask you mother just to join us, she will love it how old is you old lady? Hey, I was 20 when I had to marry or so.... I think it's better to come back to topic, right? I will go and ask my father/grandfather if they ever saw an Austrian uniform? And we should not forget, that Austria/Hungaria were playing an important roll in these days (WW1 and before). Wonder if anyone outside Europe still knows it? dudeist skydiver # 3105 -

Hey come on, give me a break: I already explained what kind of hunting I prefer. And just to repeat again: That dirty biz called fence hunting (lions f.e.) is not my biz. Same refers to hunting Polar Bear, Grizzly etc. There is line to be drawn. I learned (and still enjoy) hunting on a "clean" way. I do despise the moneybags with their Dollars or EUROs, sitting on their fat a***s on top of a jeep, waiting to shot down an animal, lion, leopard or similar, which (and this is no secret) already in advance has been anaesthetized a little bit. And not to forget: Here in Germany, we have strict regulations from government, which animals have to be hunted in a certain hunting area. This has to be followed. And over all: No need to eat what I shoot! dudeist skydiver # 3105

Yes, I know what you mean (in German: Widerstandsbewegung = like in French La Résistance) Probably, as during this time, he had lots of blond, good looking Danish girl friends (he told me, when my mother out, this little scallywag!), he was their biggest fan! dudeist skydiver # 3105 -
