15 Things to do at Wal-Mart while your S/O is taking their sweet time
Kramer replied to Flarelatedad's topic in The Bonfire
Me too. Sometimes you just plain and simply have to go into a Walmart. But as long as I don't have to, I don't go in there. The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!! -
I'm not sure how this pertains to this thread, or why I'm even saying this; but here it goes anyway: This fatality has garnered a ton of publicity. I've had two unrelated incidents today where a whuffo asked me if I "heard about the guy in Florida who..." Lot of people are tuned into this one. I know! I was so pissed off when I saw how much smoke was in the house and nothing was going off. Like it made me realize if I had just gone to bed or fell asleep in my room, I very well might have died. Freaky shit. I have a smoke alarm in my room though, so that would certainly help; but why there isn't one in the kitchen is beyond me (I never noticed there wasn't one until last night). At 10:10 I put on 6 hard boiled eggs. You're to boil them for like 25 minutes, then put cold water on them. So at 10:35 I was supposed to take them out. Just a few minutes ago, about 11:50 it hit me like a ton of bricks that I never touched them. I overcooked them by 1:15. I sprint out of my room, round the corner to look in the kitchen, I see NOTHING but complete smoke everywhere. I'm scared shit less at this point. The whole house WREAKS badly. I get to the stove, and the eggs are sitting on the bottom of the pan just fucking getting the shit burnt out of them. All the water evaporated by this time, and it's just the eggs sitting there burning like fuck. And it stinks so bad. All of them had exploded at one point or another. I found pieces of egg shell on the dining room coffee table (like 25 feet away), that's a big big big god damn explosion. I don't know how I didn't hear or smell this before simply remembering. Anyway, I need advice: My house fucking wreaks right now of burnt egg. People, let me tell you, this is the single worst smell ever to grace my nose in the 20 years I've spent on this Earth. What I'm wondering is, do you think it's going to smell like this forever, or will eventually all the fans I'm running blow the smell out? Like basically I'm worried that my clothes and shit are going to be stained with this awful awful smell. Help. Ty. The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!

Jen, I do not have many jumps at all, so take my advice very lightly, k? I jumped quite a few different 170 mains in the past few months, and was quite impressed with the Pilot (by Aerodyne). I wound up buying one (it's actually a 168). So that's something to think on. It is semi-elliptical though, not that you'd be loading it up very much, but at 35 jumps it might be a little much at this point. I guess it depends on how many jumps you'll have when you actually get the canopy. Whatever. Remember, I know nothing. That's just my 2 cents. The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!

Wow. No kidding? Funny thing is, I was at SDC yesterday and saw him a few times, but wasn't able to attend his lecture. Thanks for the replies everyone. Don't worry, I'm not planning on doing anything stupid. I just want to know what my gear is capable of. The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!

This is nothing but curiousity driven. (Roughly) what is the lowest you could cut away a main and land under a fully inflated reserve using a SkyHook RSL? I just did my first few jumps on my new Vector (complete with a SkyHook), and I sorta want to know in the back of my mind exactly what that thing is capable of. Thanks. Skydiving Magazine's 2004 skydiver of the year
Kramer replied to skypuppy's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I got to do a jump with Bill in Ohio earlier this year. I'll never forget it. What I enjoyed even more were the words we exchanged on the ground. I have a lot of respect for Bill Cole. The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!! -
I'm so proud of you Alana!

Who Are Your Skydiving Heroes/Mentors?
Kramer replied to skykittykat's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Ward Hessig - For taking me under his wing at a baby dropzone, and showing me the ropes, even though he certainly could have thought that he was too cool for that. Rook Nelson - Did a few jumps with me in Richmond and really helped push me into freeflying. Seeing that guy in the air is something else, try it. Laurie Clark - On my first AFF jump, pulled for my sorry ass, and encouraged me to keep trying. Laurie, I pull for myself now! -

I feel your pain dude. There is a "Flying Cardinals Skydiving Club" at my university. The President has never jumped, the Treasurer did one tandem last summer, etc, etc. I contacted them via Facebook asking them about info on their little club. My Facebook pic is a picture of me geeking the camera on exit - anyway, they totally blew me off in their reply to me. I can tell they don't want anyone who actually knows anything about the sport coming around, 'cause then they might have to stop playing "pretend skydiver" The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!
